you're right but... as I knew the Simplix Update Pack is released once a month... on last days many versions released... 18.4.10....18.4.15....18.4.30....18.5.10... well, I also know there is no rules about that but in the past it was very regular, now... that's the confusing thing
Code: File: UpdatePack7R2-18.5.10.exe CRC-32: 85d7454e MD5: aaa4ca7966ea5b328a618463d43fa859 SHA-1: da156ecc8f84cccd7cc22dbcf8efe1c9d8cd5a1f SHA-256: 0237773e6bf79a25fb9d4f9dedd07b26e75f84466e9c00a8644be69778601b8e SHA3-256: 9946f7327c41dd851f6e81391ca7b552740c563f137801b0c929c6d5baea96f6
The pattern I'm seeing is that each month simplix adds the new Security Monthly Rollup. NOTE that simplix doesn't alter the updates. (Reducer explains in this post a bit about how telemetry and CPU checking is handled) If you were to install the 18.15.10 pack and then next month install the June Rollup, I would bet that telemetry and CPU checking are re-enabled. I'd also bet that that they wouldn't if you were to install the June Security Only update instead.
Of course he doesn't alter any windows files, what I'm getting is that they have a patched wuaueng2.dll and the registry also points to that so when we check for updates on updated installed image it uses the patched instead of the original wuaueng.dll which is bundled with MS updates. Now if that gets replaced with the updates it shouldn't matter since we would still be using a patched dll for the next check and if it reverts to the original one then there's no point in adding the patch in the update pack. For me I guess the only way is to wait for the June Update after installing May Rollup via WU. Otherwise anyone more experienced enough may throw some more light on the situation please. The original question was, do we require to install a CPU check fix on an installation which was updated using Simplix pack? Thanks.
It will depend on how hard MS decide to enforce this "feature" against current circunvention methods. I've not tested wherther current Simplix method "survives" a MRU install via WU, and honestly I don't care. Just use next Simplix pack to update your OS. Then you can check WU if you need to.
Thanks. I guess there's something wrong on my end... Shame there is no normal download link. EDIT: I changed to qbittorrent and it works.
may be firewall is blocking internet access to your torrent client. uninstall your current torrent client and install it again, that will create the new firewalls rules for it, or just try another client like qbittorrent. edit - just saw your edited post. i'm glad it worked
It's ok, not your fault anyway! It's all good, i got the full package from the torrent! One last thing. Am i correct to understand that this contains also USB3 drivers needed for installation on Ryzen systems? CANCEL That. I saw there is a different "drivers" package in ozone. I will use that.
one thing didnt go well, as i told you simplix integrate driver installer in install.wim already. you didnt have to put drivers in install.wim folder, only in boot.wim
