You can make the version even smaller, but who needs it like that, cut to the very tomatoes, version. Have you tried to work on such a version, no, but I tried. This is a version in which half of the functionality does not work stably. As for me, it’s nothing good – just pampering.

    I did not downgrade "install.wim".
    I downgraded the update "Windows11.0-KB5055627-x64.msu"

    "install.wim" is about 3.7gb.

In fact, there is no method. It's very simple: when you go to the Windows Update Catalog and find this huge update there, click "Download" and you see three links in front of you. We only need one of them, download only that one. This update is about 800 MB.

Greetings all, can anyone suggest a solution. When installing the OS I get the following message: No installation disk found or corrupted. What file in boot.wim is responsible for this, what would it take to fix or replace it?

No installation disk found or corrupted might refer to HARD DRIVE ? sound likely. (maybe driver's missing ? BAD hard drive ?)

More precisely, where in the boot.wim file is the path to the install.wim file written?

Use "boot.wim" from "windows10" and you won't have any problems with the installation.

What are you really saying? You are giving advice that even a child would understand. I am only interested in the answer to my question.

In my tests a win 10 boot.wim will not work in win 11 without modification.

I thought you had an installation problem.
    Your problem was different.

Normally it look for install.wim near the boot.wim
So of it able to run boot.wim
    I don't see any reason he can't read install.wim

Hmm, who is he, who is he looking for? In fact, the installer is looking for boot.wim, and he is looking for install.wim. Well, then everything follows the script...

    Hello,

I have tested the 24H2 awhile.

I need some apps on 24H2.
    1. calculator, default by SunLion
    2. snipping, unavailable
    3. paint, unavailable
    4. notepad, unavailable

what's an easy way to obtain them? Thanks,

install MSFT store? any alternative method? I prefer NOT to use MSFT Store.
I tried to download from internet. but no idea to install. the WindowsApp folder is inaccessible.

    Thanks SunLion,

I have tested enabling MSFT Store. and have got the apps. but it looked like opening Pandora box, MSFT also pushed XBox, , , many other apps into WindowsApp. a real headache.

Hence I prefer NOT to use MSFT Store.

I will try your links. that's a way I prefer. hope their install working.
