Can someone post SHA-256 checksum of the zip file of the last original version of Slimdown10 (v2.02): Slimdown10_v2_02.7z
Slimdown10_v2_02.7z MD5: 9b49da8a3d4f35732418c2f892372bb5 SHA1: 27f2234767c2a7687f02d08b7b489551c342303d CRC32: 16bac699 SHA-256: 0993dcd90b33f613b873651e6b3b029ad4ffd5a1bb684f613dc7718a74ac2295 SHA-512: d10f723e8e973077c8709fb9606df076822ecd83a417254a920c74d36e82dd414185886600e9c0ddee5c358a65e7bc80f623677b5baadc7ca74763cfe9b2fc2b SHA-384: be5a785e277b06ef33e07e86e05045771c0aacde402d37ff568ef638378937b67aace28faa0f7ef283070c59364f9fe2
After creating the iso, are there some settings applied default to the browsers we install? I have installed Firefox but it says it is managed by an organization and it disables most of the stuff I would like.
Yes. Note lines 2010 through 2168 in the Slimdown10.cmd script If you do not want to apply the changes, comment the corresponding lines with "rem" or "::" at the beginning of the line.
If you missed it when creating the ISO, check registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\YOUR\BROWSER (and similar) and delete unwanted stuff to regain control of your browser. Example settings, but these are the ones I keep. There are more for Crome, Thunderbird, etc. Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox] "DisablePocket"=dword:00000001 "DisableTelemetry"=dword:00000001 "AppAutoUpdate"=dword:00000000 "BackgroundAppUpdate"=dword:00000000 "DisableAppUpdate"=dword:00000001 "DisableFirefoxStudies"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox\FirefoxHome] "TopSites"=dword:00000000 "SponsoredTopSites"=dword:00000000 "Highlights"=dword:00000000 "Pocket"=dword:00000000 "SponsoredPocket"=dword:00000000 "Snippets"=dword:00000000 "WebSuggestions"=dword:00000000 "SponsoredSuggestions"=dword:00000000 "ImproveSuggest"=dword:00000000 Etc. Etc.
This script is compatible with updated iso, like: en-us_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_22h2_updated_april_2024_x64_dvd_9a92dc89?
I edited my Post 1115 with info about Action Center (Notifications) being disabled, in case I missed the point about it the first time.
can anyone give me the scirpt to install microsoft store back as i didnt edit at the time of install of slimdown ..how should i install it back ?
i am using the online version from dark dinosaur of this script. works fine for me on windows 11 23H2 i have edited and also added my own registries. now the question is this. i am using now 24H2 wich was leaked. but it seems some entries are changed, or registry path is different. some settings are not applied. any easy way to update registries if that is the case.? or like have an UpToDate version. i was told to Why not "query" all the keys you are trying to customize? e.g. reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace_36354489\{F874310E-B6B7-47DC-BC84-B9E6B38F5903} An error will be displayed if the key does not exist. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...fications-overview.83744/page-84#post-1837010
