i placed the iso into the iso subfolder, should the script auto start at this point? my iso name is "en-us_windows_10_business_editions_version_22h2_updated_oct_2025_x64_dvd_d2eef4b0" edit: what should i use to the new image onto usb? is ventoy ok? edit2: latest iso "en-us_windows_10_business_editions_version_22h2_updated_oct_2025_x64_dvd_d2eef4b0" is not recognized if pressing option "3"
I see, so you want to make two versions of the script? One for lighter privacy and another for hardcore privacy? It could make the scripts easier to maintain I suppose. Having the options warn the user about what won't work if disabled would be good.
Have you tried putting the ISO into the main rooot folder of the script? That's what I had to do. Then the script will detect and ask if you want to use it.
I put into the main folder initially by mistake actually xD. Then nothing happened, then i put it into iso subfolder and nothing happened
No. The script will be able to identify the following ISO images: 1 - Windows_10_Enterprise_LTSC_2021 2 - Windows_10_IoT_Enterprise_LTSC_2021 3 - Windows_10_19045_CLIENTBUSINESS 4 - Windows_10_19045_CLIENTCONSUMER Please see the attached file. Edited to correct the names.
For the script to be able to identify the ISOs, their names must contain the following: It would be necessary to rename it for that. Or just place your ISO image next to the script and confirm its use when asked. To write the new image to the USB drive, I use a script created by @rpo. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...secure-boot-bios-install-wim-over-4-gb.79268/ It's the best, in my humble opinion. I couldn't get Ventoy to work very well, so... I don't use it.
For future reference, that's a VERY dangerous assumption, it may seem like extra busy work to check, it's not. There is absolutely NOTHING special about masgrave's servers that makes them any more immune than Microsoft's MSDN servers (which HAVE been exploited)... This is 2025, just say'n... Intellege Quid Agatur
after renaming the iso file the tool ran successfully. could you please give a quick glance at the log to see if errors happend? I only have one main machine on which this will be installed. I don't have a spare computer to test so i'm just trying to be extra careful
Everything worked fine, except: Because NetFX3 was enabled, some operations remained pending, preventing a base reset. However, this doesn't harm the image itself. It just doesn't remove some of the junk that could be removed with a base reset. In the next version, NetFX3 will be enabled by setupcomplete, so we won't have this problem anymore. I advise waiting for the new version, which I expect to publish by tomorrow. The Appx files were also updated in the new version.
thanks, i'll wait for the next version then. Also do you have instructions on what to choose during the "choices step" at the beginning of the script? Not being very tech savvy i quickly googled what each choice meant but i still kind of choose randomly xD. If you have written suggestions about each question it would be great
