Aside that classic shell with the w7 theme looks out of place, (use midnight, way better). You posted your doubts about a solution already posted. I replied that's all P.S. Perhaps do you mind to share the path you followed, like others did, or your point is just to look the smartest guy in town?
Aside that I already wrote (at least twice) what you have to do, being a bit autonomous w/o waiting to be spooned, even for the most obvious things, is something that would help not just in the digital life. Asking kindly helps as well Whatever.. open the settings and tell AMM to replace the main taskbar.
Thanks, btw, i read all three pages of this thread and you only mentioned install AMM, nothing else about clicking replace main taskbar. sorry for sounding a little rude.
Explorer from server 2022 and AMM are both still working on .65 and aren't mutually exclusive so they can be taken as a backup options of eachother. Given is very possible that explorer will be replaced on most updates is mandatory to take handy a backup copy of it.
yea no need to remove user-experience replace explorer.exe from server 2022 install AMM, dont run it at start-up or whenever restore system icons with the cmd: [ %windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}\SystemIcons ] hide action center to get rid of the icon of gears use old sound volume exe or app if it doesnt work done u will have the new GUI of explorer with the old taskbar
what do you mean by "restore system icons with the cmd explorer {...}\systemicon" ? just opens an explorer window. is there no way to get the clock to show?
ah nice, it worked. thnx! wonder how long before ms stops us from using the server explorer though...hopefully they will re-add the missing features to the current garbage taskbar.
don't understand why ms keeps insisting on changing stuff that has worked perfectly since windows 95. why do we need a crappy tablet / phone setting app on desktop windows? (which on windows 11 now looks like an android settings app, and why do we now need a mac os / linux taskbar start menu ripoff ? what kind of crack are the ux design people smoking at microsoft? They should've released windows 10 and then just did small updates like they did pre windows 10. All these new builds with dumb names coming out way too quickly, adding more and more useless features which supposedly was due to "feedback" and changing stuff that didn't need changing is annoying af....and now we have windows 11 when they said 10 was the last windows...geeze.
I actually like that ms is trying something else it might not work well but making another ways to do / manage stuff that might revolutionize our modern desktop is worth the try imo but gonna be hard we also have better gpu and cpu, might as well have better gui 's cosmetics
