There are releases called "Symantec_Ghost_Standard_Tools_3.X_RUX.msi" (X stands for the number of the release) "Symantec_Ghost_Solution_Suite_3_X_RUX.exe" (X stands for the number of the release) These are not provided here, but normaly part of the relase, these are required to create your very own BootISO
1.right click mouse on symantec_deploymentsolution_8_6_ru1_x64.msi and select "Edit with Orca." 2.in CustomAction, Drop Row "AimRunCheckCustomAction "This MSI must be run by the installerframwork. ...." and then save this file. 3.use UniExtract to extract symantec_deploymentsolution_8_6_ru1_x64.msi, under symantec_deploymentsolution_8_6_ru1_x64\Program Files\Altiris\Deployment, Imaging\ contains ghost.exe BDC\ is bootdisk creater tool, put ghost.exe into bootwiz\oem\DS\winpe\x64\Base\Program Files\Symantec\Deployment\Ghost then we can create our own bootdisk.
Does anyone actually have a working link to Symantec_Ghost_Standard_Tools_3.X_RU8.msi or Symantec_Ghost_Solution_Suite_3_X_RU8.exe The links posted earlier to renamed similar looking files actually download an EXE not a ZIP. I wouldn't trust them at all especially from such an adware infested web site.
I unpacked it with 7zip and there is nothing even close to resembling an update to GSS at all. It is too small also.
