Well thanks. I'm not a pro when it comes to deciding what should or shouldn't be added to a hosts file. I just add what I see others are using. Everything in my hosts file was found off the Internet. I did not research any of it, so I don't know if they serve a purpose or if they do harm when blocked / added to the hosts file. I'll let everyone reading this decide if they wish to use what I've provided or not. I take no responsibility.
You can check my script (2nd link in sigs 1st line) for usage of that nice new tool. It needs to mount the WIM then unhide the Packages, Delete them, unhide the rest afterwards and unmount/commit.
I just downloaded the batch file for telemetry removal , have you added new hosts in it ? Also it only removes diagnostic service and scheduled tasks along with hosts entry , it does not however remove the APPS like the other russian tool does? Also it is better you start giving version number to your script like spyscript_1.2.bat etc etc
Yea. I didn't include apps removal in it... Also Yea. I'm making huge adjustments to some certain parts of this thread right now And yea. I added new hosts to the batch file
Actually not that difficult. Decide what you wanna remove, then use the tool to do. The Disable options in Main Menu will remove them instantly if chosen. The Manual option will ask for a TXT file and offer the XXXXList.txt from files sub-folder denpending what option (i.e. SearchList to uninstall the Search packages with install_wim_tweak.exe)was chosen. If the tools needs any Input from you it will ask and show what is needed to enter.
After his batch file is downloaded, simply right-click the file (with your mouse) and select "Run as administrator". All done!
I and some others want to have more control over the process without the need to always edit the CMD. So a modular tool has it's advantages . It's also easier to maintain and holds less redundant stuff.
And then you can't get it to run with an autounattend installation... So a batch file still holds its advantages
It's still a 'BATCH' file . I'm working on an option to create a Firstlogon.cmd with choice what it shall contain .
Nope. If you used v1.4.3 of the program you can't, although strangely someone said they reenabled it... Third party antivirus like Malwarebytes Pro or something similar is your best bet...
