I will no longer be providing v1.4.3 of the program... I'm stopping at v1.4.2 and that's it... If you want more updates, visit @nummerok on Twitter for the links. Just be aware that I won't go past what I said
Blah. Windows Defender will only add more telemetry. It is part of how Windows checks to see if you have "played" with it. I'm happy with 1.4.3
Some of us don't use, need, nor want Windows Defender. Please provide a link for 1.4.3 again. Just be sure to mention what it will do. Then let the people decide if they want it. Sound good?
I've already put a disclaimer for it but people keep asking how to reenable or fix windows defender... and I don't have a probable solution for that...
@compegen_1534 If anything, you could do good by further adding this to your next release github.com/hahndorf/Set-Privacy
Cool. If you went for the trial period of Pro, it has a limited amount of time that you can use it. I think it's 1 or 2 months. I'm not sure. If you paid for it (roughly $20 or so), you have it for a year. The free version offers most of the features the paid one does, minus the live protection and live updates. I'm glad you went for Malwarebytes. It has a great reputation and detection factor. You should correct the link. It isn't right.
Just updated the first post with a brand new powershell script! It's really neat I just tried it myself Thanks for the support everyone! And thank you @GOD666 for the tip !!!
There is an extra blank "Spoiler" under the downloads section. Some instructions on how to run the power shell script would be nice. I don't know how to use it. *Edit* Yeah, the links work fine now. The PowerShell one wasn't working before. You had extra stuff in the URL including "<font>" at the end, I recall.
You're instructions are vague and not specific. Assume no one here has used PowerShell. I happen to be one of those people. So from what you've given me, I have to guess what I need to do. I'm assuming I have to use one of the three PowerShell programs built in Windows 10. I don't know which one to use so I'm guessing it's the "(x86)" one. After running that, I change to the directory where the "TelemetryPS.ps1" is located since I see it works like DOS. I know I'm supposed to run it, but I don't know how, so once again I'm guessing that I type "TelemetryPS.ps1" (without quotes) and press Enter. It doesn't run. I am still stuck. Details help. Simply saying "run in an elevated powershell and that's it" is not helpful for people like me. That's like me giving you keys to a jumbo jet and saying "go fly that 747 over there and that's it".
