Hi, Did anyone besides wkeller get this to work, Ive tried and its hasnt worked for me . gets stuck at updating registry entries Thanks in advance.
Hello, I have followed this post's direction using windows10 ltsc's files. However when I try to boot on uefi mode, my screen would only show the windows7 logo screen and is just stuck like that. When I unplug and replug the dp cable it just shows a blank screen(not no signal). I know it did not hang during the boot up because I can hear the windows startup sound coming up on a system with nvidia driver already installed. If you got any advise for me to get it working I would really appreciate it, would love to try out resizeable bar after seeing it says "Graphic Driver Support: Yes".
Usage Instructions: is in #1 post by op simply saying, copy a file bootx64.efi by UefiSeven into two different folders. \efi\boot and \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\ renaming the file at the two folders, once when boot. another before re-boot (2nd boot) I did read all posts from post #1 to last pg, pg#17, to understand all issues and fixes.
my understanding, the solution is NOT working for AMD Lucky, my computers all are Intel. hence no issues.
hi, I recently tried a few minutes ago, but it gives an error: cannot find the original boot EFI and also cannot find boot mgr. what do I do?
I will be having time weekend only. see if weekend I can help. which step now you are? can you get 1st boot done? now pending on 2nd boot (reboot). your computer may get freezing up when reboot, , , "Start Windows" but never moves ahead.
I wish it was, I guess you can't install Windows 7 on an core i7 comet lake... but thanks anyway... maybe I don't know how to use the shell to copy uefiseven to bootx64...
please search (this forum NOT allow link) Solved W7 and Intel Core i5-10400 Comet Lake looks doable. 1. prepare install media, copy it into a USB drive. 2. on the USB drive, copy a file bootx64.efi by UefiSeven into folder \efi\boot. and rename. now try to boot and install. computer should go until install finished, now re-boot. 3. when re-boot, power down computer. using shell, copy a file bootx64.efi by UefiSeven (same file) into another folders. \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\ and rename. you can read op several times to get more tips. I just followed op. not simply easy. but in UEFI install, that's easiest fix.
you can search How to repair the EFI bootloader on a GPT Hard Drive for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 on your Dell personal computer I was new and didn't know how to access EFI shell too. google found it. please read and follow the guide. pretty sure you will get your install completed.
