Oh my... I'm so out of my depth here. I followed a link after searching the web for Speaker Fill in Windows 10 (it's working for stereo audio on my 7.1 system, but I found it didn't seem to have an effect for mono) Ended up on this post... and already have no idea which of the two to use. According to another post in this thread, I learned it would be helpful to post hardware IDs? According to HwInfo, I have two Audio Controllers installed? Judging by the name of one of them, I suspect it's for audio over HDMI? First one in the list: Audio Adapter: ATI/AMD SB800/Hudson-1 - High Definition Audio Controller Audio Controller Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4383&SUBSYS_84101043&REV_40 High Definition Audio Codec: RealTek ALC892 Audio Codec Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_10438410&REV_1003 Second one in the list: Audio Adapter: ATI/AMD Cayman/Antilles - High Definition Audio Controller Audio Controller Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA80&SUBSYS_AA80174B&REV_00 High Definition Audio Codec: ATi RADEON HDMI Audio Codec Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&REV_1002 Still, which of the two drivers do I need? 6.0.8903.1 or 6.0.8907.1?
I have managed to make Some drivers for my HP ZBook Power G8 if anyone needs them just let me know HDXSSTHPBNB1 = 9956.1 HDX_HpExt_SR_FORTE_Hybrid = 9932.1 HDX_HpExt_HSA = 9951.1 Alot of the other components are ofc updated but i wont go into them
Has anyone seen updated Tongfang/AIStone drivers. I see XMG are using v6.0.9859.1 on there newer notebooks but that seems fairly old now...
Could you please upload this one? Thank you. I also wonder if you have a newer version of IntcOED_OemLibPathExt.inf? the latest I have is v10.25.253.002 (01/08/2024) and it's causing some weird logs in the event viewer. HW ID : INTELAUDIO\DSP_CTLR_DEV_02C8&VEN_8086&DEV_0222&SUBSYS_86A0103C
Thank you for the reply This is the motherboard in question: Code: Manufacturer ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Model M5A97 PRO (Socket 942) Version Rev 1.xx Chipset Vendor AMD Chipset Model RD9x0 Chipset Revision 02 Southbridge Vendor AMD Southbridge Model SB910/950 Current driver version is 6.0.1.7848 Package name was "M5A97PRO-Realtek_Audio_V7848_20160617" Apologies for mangling the quote, apparently I'm not allowed to post a quote that has links I don't have any issues with the current version, so there's no real need to update it. Nevertheless, an update might offer a new feature in the accompanying control software that could be of use. Also, I'm glad it offers me the possibility to configure each speaker's distance and dB correction. My main worry would be that if I do update, I might lose that option.
then there is no real need to update the audio driver if you truly depend on the required features in the currently installed version
I was able to build my HDXSSTHPBNB.inf to version 6.0.9963.1 by editing the date/version line, but this time I used Windows built-in Notepad (I stopped using Notepad++ because it started to give mismatch errors for a reason I don't know why!).
Confirmed, I downloaded your files and tried bumping the numbers like I did to mine, no success unfortunately, changes has been made to the file somewhere else (new HWID maybe?)
