Hi, Global (from Realtek website) = FF00 + All Integration FF00 = Generic FF01 = FF00 with FMAPO Integration FF03 = FF00 with Nahimic Integration FF04 = FF00 with CXAPO Integration FF06 = FF00 with MaxxAudio Integration FF10 = FF00 with Creative Integration FF0C = FF00 with DTS/SST Integration
If all these releases have bug fixes or new hardware additions then why aren't there any new UAD versions, only HDA??? Weird because the manufacturers are pushing/going the UAD path...
I usually install the OEM support drivers for Realtek audio even though they are seriously outdated (2016-17). I need functionality not features. Any benefit in using newer ones with this in mind.
Yes, replacing the old application with a small, fast UWP app (that requires the UAD driver). You will see A LOT of people on the web claiming some driver sounds better than other, but at least on my PC, with studio monitors, in a soundproofed room, I never noticed any meaningful change in any of the drivers I've installed, since Dec. 2017 when I got this motherboard. Features are also similar. Maybe more complex audio solutions with Nahimic and stuff get better, but my basic codec definitely remains the same.
thanks @alanfox2000 any info of how to select which FFxx version ? PS : Found this FF00 Complete driver FF01 with MAPO integration FF03 with Nahimic integration FF04 with APO integration FF06 with MaxxAudio integration FF10 with Creative integration FF0C with DTS integration I will use the basic version FF00
Is it possible to install the UAD version on this HWID? HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1458A0B3
