How do I move from HDA drivers to UAD drivers?

I have a Maximus X Code and am currently running HDA 6.0.8874.1 FF00.

    Please help.

    Hi,

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3) from my latest update post. You will also find in the same place your apps (Realtek Audio Console/Control, Sonic Studio III & Sonic Radar III (Optional)) that work with this drivers package.

Here is the switch process : Uninstall your HDA drivers (via Control Panel > Programs and Features or via Settings > Applications) > restart request > Install the UAD drivers (Setup.exe) > restart request > Realtek Audio Control to install (auto/manuel) from Microsoft Store at start > Sonic Studio III to install (manuel) from Microsoft Store (restart if requested).

    Thank you, Mokichu.

Missing you greatly over on the ROG forums.

One more doubt. The base driver (v8746) provided by Asus on the board support page is listed as FF03.

    Will there be a problem?

Whether you use HDA - FF00 or HDA - FF03 does not change my answer, however if you use the HDA - FF03 drivers from ASUS, you probably also installed the SS3&SR3 Win32/Legacy version apps, which are included in the package. Check if you have installed Sonic Studio III & Sonic Radar III, if it is the case, uninstall them (via Control Panel > Programs and Features) before follow the switch process.

    Hi,

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from my latest update post. You will also find in the same place your apps (Realtek Audio Console/Control, Sonic Studio III, Sonic Radar III (Optional) & DTS Sound Unbound) that work with this drivers package.

Hi, new here and just need some advice/direction for updating my audio driver going forward. Not real knowledgeable on details and have minimal needs. Just like to keep updated just to do it. Had an old Gbites MB and was updating fine with Pal1000 UAD generic drivers. (Thank you Pal).

So had a MB meltdown and now have a new build with ASUS PRIME Z390-A RealTek ALC S1220A. It has DTS which I don't need but not a concern. Did a successful update with the latest drivers from the link on this thread.

Now just confused on what to look for. I have a PRIME MB; other than DTS and other options is there a difference between the ROG and Tuf MBs with drivers? What i am trying to find out is what do I look for in updating. Since I don't need DTS can I go with just the plain RTK update or does it really matter?

Where should i get my updates? What is the difference between Pal1000 drivers and Alanfox?

MoKiChU, thank you for your update. Should I just follow you now?

    thank you

Hey man, I finally found you out of the ASUS forum! And I see you are still in business ;) I am very glad. Great work you do!

So this are the last ASUS related drivers available for now?
    Thank you so much!

Ah! Another question. For installing / updating, same procedure as always?

Hi Mokichu, I'm from Asus forums and I'm new here.
    So a few dumb questions:
    - I don't see any link to download the drivers in your latest update post ? I'm not familiar with MDL.
    - If I don't care about the Sonic apps and only want a simple UI that can be opened from the system tray, can I use the HD audio driver ? If yes, can pls link me to it ? (Or is my board only compatible with UAD driver ?)
Thank you for all the good works you've done. Though I don't understand why we Asus board owners have to rely on your kindness instead of having an official site of Realtek or Asus where we can just go to whenever there's an update for the drivers. Isn't this supposed to be their job or am I missing something here :-?
