You're a wizard, I know! But none of them helped! :( I tried and followed the points in both cases. In February, when I left 1903, I experienced the same difficulties. Then, I found a solution here. Now the 1909 update has come out and things are getting worse. There is no recovery point on 1903. : (I will search until my energy drink runs out.)) Thank you for your efforts and help to people! We are from different parts of the world, but you help even here! :)

Try by switching to this setting :

UAD : Realtek Audio Control/Console > Device advanced settings > Playback Device : Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously.

HDA : Realtek HD Audio Manager > Option (the star wheel at the top right) > Playback Device : Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously.

I have rearranged Realtek Audio Control so often that it no longer downloads and an error appears. :) I was banned from the Microsoft Store...

    Hi MoKiChU,

Installed the latest 8929.1 (UAD_ASUS_ROG-PRIME-TUF) drivers you provided and updated My Strix X570E Gaming PC. After the automated reboot I had no sound from speakers and it would not work unless I unchecked "Disable all sound effects" in the Realtek Audio control app. I thought my board and Realtek chipset supported the extensions that allow this feature to be turned on?

UPDATE: Just now with sound effects in Realtek Audio Console disabled (checked box) I went into Sonic Studio III which showed Sonic Studio Effects disabled. I then enabled Sonic Studio Effects while the Realtek sound control sound effects were still disabled and the sound started working again. If I then enable Realtek Audio Console's sound effects (unchecked) the sound stops working again and it automatically at the same time disables Sonic Studio's Studio Effects. Again, I can re-enable Sonic Studio effects and the sound is working again while the Realtek Audio Console sound effects are disabled.

Something maybe seems crossed up between these apps and their features with the drivers as I believe all of these sound effect features in both apps have been enabled (I could be wrong and default setings are different) with sound working in all the prior driver setups I have had installed. Is there a problem here and a way to fix? If I re-enable sound effects there's no sound whatsoever.

    Background:

I previously had drivers 8924.1 before installing 8929.1 using the update method (Run Install_ROG_SS3DTS.cmd as admin).

Prior to 8924.1 I had installed a previous version you provided and went through the complete clean install instructions successfully. Both that version and 8924.1 worked without any issues.

I had also tried leaving sound effects enabled in the Realtek Audio Console app and disabled "enable audio enhancements" in speaker properties and that also allowed the sound to work again. Right now I have the audio enhancements enabled in speaker properties and disable all sound effects unchecked in the Realtek Audio control app.

Both Sonic Studio III and Realtek Audio Console are the latest versions available.

    Thanks!

    Finn

    Hi, @MoKiChU.

I'm using windows 8.1 on my TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING motherboard. Is there any Realtek driver / software accordingly?

Thanks for your interest in advance.

    Good luck.

    ---------------------------------------------

    Hi Mokichu,

I just completed the uninstall + clean install using tools you linked to and followed all instructions. Sadly, the end result is the behavior of the apps is the very same as I described in my earlier post. No sound unless I disable all sound effects in Realtek Audio Console or Audio enhancements via the MS Win 10 speakers properties. Also the same behavior I described previously in my "update" section where, when disabling the sound effects in Realtek Audio Console but then enabling sonic studio effects still allows sound. Again, shouldn't Realtek Audio Console sound effects / MS audio enhancements be supported by my Strix X570E?

Thanks in advance for your continued assistance.

This issue seems on your side, excuse me for insisting but did you scrupulously follow the INSTALL process with cleanup step ?

Also If you have install issue, to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the INSTALL process (before cleanup step) until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart).

    Hi Mokichu,

Yes, I followed all the instructions exactly point by point leaving out nothing. Perhaps it was indeed something with my internet connection downloading a driver automatically at some point in the process. Anyway, I will try reverting back to 8924.1 and see if that resolves the issues. I will reply back here afterwards.

    Thanks!

I followed the clean install instructions again, this time running the 8924.1 install program (setup.exe which runs the realtek installer). After everything was installed, the default output was Realtek speakers (8929.1 defaulted to digital output) and disable sound effects was unchecked (8929.1 default was checked/disabled). At this point the audio was working with the MS sound enhancements enabled and Realtek Audio Console sound effects enabled. This was different than 8929.1 where I would have no sound. However, I rebooted my PC one more time (I did this myself and was not prompted by anything to do so) and again the sound was not working. I had to disable sound effects/sound enhancements to have the sound working.

So, I think it's possible that something with the process of the 8929.1 install previously has crossed something up on my PC. Again, I think all was working well with these sound effects enabled with 8924.1 but now even after a clean install with all of the uninstall steps etc. followed exactly, even reverting back to 8924.1 does not allow me to have sound if I enable sound effects/sound enhancements. :-(

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

    1) Refollow scrupulously the INSTALL process with cleanup step with latest 8929, but to prevent Windows Update from generating a drivers install conflict, disable your Internet connection from the start of the INSTALL process (before cleanup step) until the end of drivers install of the INSTALL process (after the restart).

    2) If don't work, link me a .csv extract of all your DriverStore via Driver Store Explorer (File > Export).

@MoKiChU Heyya, did Realtek give up on making a setup.exe app for the MSI drivers officially or?
It works just fine for my motherboard, just curious about the change, as a cmd install seems rather odd for a driver package these days.

    Hi Mokichu,

Mostly very good news. With internet disabled I went through all the steps as before (all steps according to detailed instructions you provided) and installed 8929.1 again. I only enabled Internet again for the online required install of Realtek Audio Console and Sonic Studio III. Sound was working and the Realtek app had sound effects enabled as default and Sonic Studio III had Studio Effects disabled. I rebooted again and the sound continued to work. I then turned on Sonic Studio III studio effects and still had sound but noticed that when I adjusted the main volume speaker level the "ding" sound that plays had a pretty bad tinny distortion sound at the very end of the audio. I now have studio effects disabled but wonder why there is that tinny distortion.

Oh and worth noting that the step to run driver store explorer this time showed none of the drivers that are to be forced removed. This is the first time that step did not require I select and force uninstall drivers. So, it really looks like my PC was previously grabbing drivers off the internet between the app uninstalls, reboot and then the driver store explorer step.

Thanks for suggesting disabling Internet as that allowed sound effects and sound enhancements to be enabled and still allow sound. Any suggestions about the tinny distortion with Sonic Studio III studio effects enabled?

    Thanks again, Mokichu.

Well. For the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow the UPDATE process without disable your Internet connection.
    Try this : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...h-definition-audio.72236/page-72#post-1588756

I've seen that, I guess what I was trying to ask is is the exe to cmd change coming from Realtek, or is the cmd just a user workaround for, let's say, Realtek no longer uploading full driver packages to their FTP/server.
