Hi sorry for making another thread for clueless noob questions again. Turns out I found a laptop from some years ago with win7 on it, my intention is to update to windows 10 ltsc edition if i can - as quickly and without as much bother as I can. Is it possible to do so without a fresh install and if so how do I? Thank you very much

Best is to clean install 2019 LTSC if desired, or on ancient hardware better to try 2016 LTSB.
Thanks for your answer, it's a 2012 laptop so I wouldn't call it "ancient" but it isn't definitely recient neither. Honestly I would love to simply upgrade to 2015 ltsb keeping files but what do you mean with it needing "pre-integrated updates"? Would it be enough with installing windows7's last updates or are you talking about hardware being upgraded? Sorry for so many questions and thank you again.
2015 LTSB is really messed up, i can't even get it to properly update by WU in a vm, have to try with offline integrated updates.
Actually, it is possible to upgrade from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 LTSC without losing your apps and settings. See post hxxps://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/upgrade-from-windows-7-pro-to-windows-10-ltsc.81001/#post-1579393 You will need tp make a small change to the UpgradeMatrix.xml located in the install.wim on the LTSC install medium. The only software that did not migrate successfully was the Romex RamDisk. I was pleasntly surprised how well ot worked. Thanks both of you for your answers, this is going to make all the work of updating this laptop a lot easier!
