    Alphawaves has a feature in WHDownloader where you can click on the KB number in the KBArticle column before the update is downloaded and it will open the corresponding MS KB page so you can get more info on them.

    I ended up typing out the kb number cause I couldn't copy n paste. I'm past that now. I'm just reading how windows 10 is like "The Fly with jeff coldplums. He couldnt remove the fly parts because they were spliced at the genetic level. THats windows 10. It spys on you at the genetic(kernel) level."

    I'm thinking its best if I just install on a multiboot partition and run the script after the fact. If there's no guide on how to use scripts I'm not fussed about being the person to figure it out.

    I'm just using windows 10 to run a miner. I've been convinced that its time to put my vega 56 (on modified G10 bracket) to work.

    lol at Jeff "Coldplums".. But I realize that was probably an auto-correct for Goldblum. A good movie by Cronenberg and I understand what you're saying.

    But I wouldn't worry too much about Windows 10 spying on you.. The "spying" part is over-hyped by media.

    I don't know why but WHDownloader deleted almost all my files in the Documents folder after I downloaded the Office 2016 updates and it didn't even include the latest ones! How can I recover the deleted files?

    I don't recall that WHDownloader delete files automatically :g:
    superseded updates are moved to separate folder if you set MoveOldUpdates=True

    did you set ExtractMSP=True?
    and which folder path you choose for extraction?

    there are data recovery programs like
    File Scavenger
    Handy Recovery

    Yes, the Documents folder.

    I tried Recuva and those programs but they only recover some files and most of them are corrupt.

    Well, sorry to hear that

    maybe you should choose specific folder for extraction
    i.e. Documents\msp\

    Sorry for my newbie question, I want to build an updated Windows 8.1 for my Tower PC, yesterday I did the mistake of waiting for more than 171 updates that took almost 3 hours to complete, no way I want to do that again.

    Well step by step, gonna download original ISO from MS servers, a Portuguese version X64 with Iso download tool.

    Gonna run WHDownloader_0.0.2.2, change config.ini from previous reads

    ExtractMSP=True
    MSPLangFilter=pt-PT
    MoveOldUpdates=True

    Update list provided by "abbodi1406" and download the necessary updates.

    After that, run the script "WHD-Windows8.1-Updates-Installer_2.5" and the tricky question, does this script update the ISO itself, or do I need to extract all files from ISO?

    Do I need to put the previous update files to the same folder as Iso extracted files, or from a specif folder those extracted files?

    How do I mount again the ISO for USB burning?

    Thanks

    - Extract ISO, and choose install.wim path as target in WHD-W81UI.cmd

    - What previous updates exactly?
    the script rely on WHDownloader list folders structure
    so you put WHD-W81UI.cmd next to WHDownloader.exe to detect updates repo

    - There are 3rd party programs that can assemble the ISO, like PowerISO or Ultra ISO

    abbodi1406,

    Thanks for the reply, will do it later on. :)

    Regarding to changing of config.ini,is necessary to change anything?

    Just run and forget WHDownloader? Since is Portuguese doesn't need to change any language setting only on office right?

    Thanks

    Never had an ISO, on which, after installing a clean Windows had any important listed update left to be installed, really amazing work from abbodi1406, however I didn't included the optional updates, which was my fault, almost all related to .netframework, non-critical and unnecessary to some point, but reduced from 171 updated to a mere 10. :)

    In regards to Office just download all the updated and insert them on the updates folder? I guess the process is a lot easier and straightforward?

    Thanks for this amazing work.

    Yes- for a fresh Office install, copy all the extracted .msp files from Office updates to the Updates folder on your Office .iso and then do an install. Office will automatically install all applicable updates from that folder after install of the program files is completed.

    You can extract the .msp files from the updates by right-clicking in the bottom area of WHDownloader and selecting "Office MSP Extractor" or by changing the "ExtractMSP=" setting to "True" in the config.ini file. They'll be automatically extracted next time you download Office updates with that setting set to True.

    To install Office updates on a system with Office already installed, use abbodi1406's installer script (InstallerOfficeV14d): https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/whdownloader-support-and-chat.44645/page-108#post-1296720
