does WHD update lists contain telemetry updates or should we check ourselves to avoid them ?? i mean for all windows versions not only windows 10 ??
Additional\Windows10 Win 7/8.1 Monthly Rollup already contain all telemetry, and can be disabled easily
oh this I know about already thank you i thought there is something can be preformed while integrating the rollup not after installing the OS
There are several options for you on the first page of this thread: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/40006
Win7 lists with updated links for the old hotfixes (mostly are thehotfixshare and few gitlab) manually extract and replace in "UpdateLists" folder in my brief test, all are working good, but gitlab links might not be working for some
WHDownloader currently offers KB4132216 [SS]... Is this actually superseded by recent SS updates or is it needed to satisfy WU or some other purpose?
I removed KB4132216 from latest list (updated 06/18), it's not needed for LTSB and updated the info about build 14393 support in PleaseRead-Information.txt
There's an error in the latest win7 Update lists, it includes the latest PREVIEW version of the monthly update, but not the latest official monthly update (which is the one recommended for most users). the preview version should be considered sort of "beta" or at least moved to the "optional" category and include the latest monthly update as well.
It's not beta, and it usually contain less issues and more fixes than the security monthly rollup this month as example, it fix the VBA issue caused by the "official" monthly rollup the porpose of WHDownloader (and KUC tool) is to provide latest applicable updates, regardless of their chassification if you want to follow Windows Update lead, then perhaps Simplix Update Pack will be more convenient
Still, I think the official update SHOULD be listed. It can't just be ignored and replaced by an OPTIONAL update. There's a reason why there's an official update and a preview update. I mean, why do they bother publishing both? according to your criteria, they should just release the preview update and not the official one. doesn't make any sense.
Both rollups are official if you installed the preview rollup, the security rollup will go away from WU (because it's older version) where is the sense in adding two versions of same update to WHDownloader? the word "preview" is just bad term from Microsoft, the non-security rollup is as good as security rollup (and most of the time even better)
