The script should work the same for 8.1.

 

I did WHD on a Live W7 OS a couple of days ago and the only desktop script I got was to cleanup and/or reset the base. Maybe when you integrate it works a little differently. I just d/l WHD updates for 8.1 update 3 and I excluded 65 or so and kept 140.
I'm bound to figure it out, Shirley.

 

I faced this unfortunate issue once, WHDownloader.exe cleans the extraction folder first
so i learned to only set new empty folder for extraction

i hope you can restore the iso

How / When It is applicable when directly using Install.wim from Win 8.1 x32 ?

2. Will it be fine using Audit/Sysprep/Generalize with it ?

Thanks for the answer. Still some confusion about Audit/Sysprep/Generalize!

As I understand, I prepare the Updated Win 8.1 x32 ISO & the Cleanup operation is pending after the installation ( to be executed on the first normal boot from the desktop script).

Will it be OK to Customize & Finalize the installation in Audit mode & run the script from the desktop on the final installation on a machine OR should it be / can be run from the Audit mode desktop itself ? Options ?

What script? you mean cleanup?
run it in Audit mode before sysprep

after installing the OS, you need to run it as administrator, it will be self-deleted afterwards

This will not work if you integrated updates offline
you have to run cleanup yourself

I want to create win8.1 with latest updates. I must to download all 228 updates? or i can skip maybe extra updates or additional updates or something other from the list?
How I can update iso with updates without telemetry updates? I must to check option or I must to unchek manually telemetry updates before download?

 

You can download all available updates and set W8.1UI to use the ones you want, and after online/offline integration it will result in a cmd on the desktop with the telemetry disabling stuff.
