Just an ideea.....In the widows integrator can be added an option to insert product serial key for instalation of Windows in trial mode with a general key(retail verison only), or an option to bypass that window and go directly to selection of the Hdd meniu ? Not to be cofused with the option that are already available - that is for activation of Windows with a genuine key ! View attachment 26945 I tried to integrate a general key and is not working, the window above still appears , but when I enter the key manually it works .
You need an ei.cfg file in your sources-folder, at least the 'ISO to AIO' step has an option to copy a selfmade file into the destination folder for you. For my retail AIO I use: Code: [Edition ID] [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 An automation of this step via checkbox would be cool indeed.
Mr. Alphawaves my problem is still present in 6.1. Office 2013 x64 updates doesn't show in downloaded path after the download if I close the program and open it again. so its impossible to know which updates I have and which is new. for Windows 8.1 x64 all is ok. also in settings I check my language preference for Office 2013 which is Greek(El-Gr). 1st if I check to delete the exe files after extraction, if I close program and reopen it doesn't keep the setting. also in Office 2013 x64 updates I get 2 times this file: mso-x-none and mso-x-none[1], same size and the files proof-de-de, proof-en-us, proof-fr-fr which is not in my preference language Greek. please check these problems Mr. Alphawaves. be well, thank you!!!
Hi. i will take a look at it.. Hi, its already available in main AIO window (Add ei.cfg) Hi, if they are .MSP's they wont. Only the .EXE's will. EDIT: I will add option to show downloaded .MSP's also..
yes this is correct. I just checked this and now its working if I don't delete the exe files. please when you have time check why it downloads the extra language files I told you in previous post. thank you. be well.
Hi, the extra language files (duplicates) are checked by version build and older one removed. Seems it may be a little broken, ill redo the function..
For the duplicates, I just delete one of them , and it was fine, but with the extra languages for proof - hapend to me too. My language is romanian and the extra language for me it was fr- france language.I delete it as well but when I installed on a machine, windows update detect there is one update missing for office, just that one that I deleted. So, I just lefted that update for fr- and reinstaled, everything was fine, no updates instalation after that ! Maybe they are just a cumulative language updates, seems that Microsoft is used to it, they do it in Windows as well !
hi alpha, some suggestion, could u make stable build and development(beta) separate version? I mean lets say stable build is v6, and beta v6.xx etc, the main reason is u can gather all bugs or idea without making new version for only minor fix (is better u experiment and test development version first, so u can make a better stable build for the next version). note : it's only suggestion by the way, so u can improve this application better (also save time to recompile the exe for only minor changes).
I know that, I just wanted to help seby24gl. I think many users do not know about the new necessary bypass-serial-with-ei.cfg step of W8/W8.1 so that a checkbox for the integration of an included ei.cfg example would be appreciated. At least I did not know about this bypass until recently.
I think these 3 updates (proof-de-de, proof-en-us, proof-fr-fr) are obligatory to every language of Office and as seby24gl said if you delete them then auto update will download these updates. So leave them there, its only 45MB of space.
Alphawaves, when I attempted to use WHD 6.1 to install the (34) Office 2010-x86 M$ .exe updates that were downloaded and saved inside the WHD/Updates/Office 2010-x86 folder on a FRESH installation of Office 2010-x86 Home & Student RETAIL with SP2 (Slipstreamed) and no other M$ updates installed I get the following WHD message: Updates check = "The following updates were not compatible and have been removed from updates list"... This list included ALL 34 of the previously downloaded updates... Apparently I am doing something wrong... OBTW, when I verified this with Windows / M$ Update, it reported that SP2 was installed but no others for Office 2010-x86 and there were at least 20 updates were needed... Note: I posted this issue on post #854... Am I using WHD incorrectly and if so, how do I remedy this?
Sounds like a corrupt .XML.. can you redownload the broken one and try again ? Also can you verify if the .xml's are ok ? open UpdateLists/.. *.xml in notepad and post a screen shot ?
Worked ! I use ei.cfg in Windows 7 so many times, ...it looks like we can forget sometimes the little things when we try to see the big picture....it will be nice to have somewere in the WHD , besides AIO tool, an option to select, and the WHD to generate the file in the right place of the instalation source !!!
Hi, I'm new to this. I read 905 posts here, however still I'm confused what to do Really looking forward to a manual. I have an iso of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 NL with updates till 2013, December integrated. I have to reinstall Windows and like to integrate the updates up to today. I ran WHD on my PC installed with this image and updated till yesterday. This is what I did using WHD 6.1: 1. Select from Latest Lists Windows7-x64 -->Downloader 567, Downloaded 12, Superseded/old 0, Update Lists 1 2. Click Tools and Options 3. In Tab Windows click Integrate 4. Select ISO image --> C:\Temp\ISO\sources\install.wim 5. Select Ultimate 6. Click Start 7. In Tab Updates, Selection Mode select Directory/sub directories 8. Click Add and select \WHD\Updates\Windows7-x64 (with sub dirs Additional, Extra, General, Hotfix and Security in it) --> 12 Updates 9. Click Integrate KB's 2913152 and 2913431 are not in WHD list, yet they show up in Windows Update history. IE11-Windows6.1-KB2898785-x64 is the other way around. Am I missing something and what language will I get in IE11? Any help will be appreciated
Hey Alpha, I have a few feature requests that will make your program a little more user-friendly, if you're up for the task: When selecting updates to Add or Remove for update integration, the two buttons to select either of those options are very small since they are the "+" and "-" symbols. It may be better to make the buttons also accompany the text next to the symbols as well, being "Add" and "Remove", since the text alone is currently not a part of the buttons. It confused me for a few seconds when I was clicking it and nothing happened. Bigger buttons means easier to add and/or remove updates without having to figure out that the symbols are the buttons. An option to select/highlight and drag updates into your program's viewing area, prior to integration, would be an advantage. And also, if people could use Ctrl + C then Ctrl + V to copy and paste selected updates they wish to integrate into the viewing area of your program, that would be wonderful, too (if possible). These two methods, along with my first suggestion above, would compliment the whole adding and removing of updates. As updates are being integrated, it would be nice to be able to minimize your program. And as a bonus feature, if you could give the option to be able to minimize to the system tray location during the integration process, that would be awesome. When updates have been integrated, a pop-up notification could be used to inform users that the integration process has been completed.
