seby24gl: I appreciate that you're trying to keep things accurate in the update lists, but I can assure you that abbodi1406 knows what he's doing and that he has it correct with those updates. Also, nearly all the current Win8.1 updates will soon be superseded when Spring Update 1 is officially released.
You do realize that this is Windows Hotfix Downloader project, not Windows Update Mirror if you want to follow WU precisely, there are some other project maintains it like Windows Updates Downloader
Like I said before, I'm only trying to help. I'm not an programmer, but I am a good tester and I report what problems I found. Is not for me to decide what to do, I just report back and maybe I have some sugestions on the way.
You are welcome any time and with any suggestions i ment no harm feelings with my reply all i'm saying that we have more experience with WU and how MS handles the updates, the supersedence of anyone is determind by the actual components (files) included
It would be great to see for which build the updates are. Example: Windows 7 -> Windows Post-SP1 Office 2013 - Are or Not Post-SP1? Office 2010 - Are or Not Post-SP2 or Post-SP1? That is VERY important to know. Greez
When I attempt to use WHD 6.8 "Remove superseded updates from your OS." (Cleanup) I get an ERROR popup "Error KB2852386 is not installed" WU reports that KB2852386 is installed on both of my Windows 7-x64 PC's... WHD (Cleanup) has always worked properly in the past for me... Note: I attempted to include a Snapshot .PNG to help explain this, but could not figure out how to do so using the "Insert Image" button...
Office 2010ProPlusx86 Updates - What am I doing wrong??? OK so I have my 2010x86 extracted and I started with a clean updates folder... copied the SP2 files and then added all the recent updates I just downloaded using the latest WUD. I did my install and I keep showing the following updates missing on WU. I tried downloading a brand new source from my Technet and had the same results... I kept SP1 files in the updates folder... same results... I'm going nuts because I never had any problems with this before. Am I missing or forgetting something??? View attachment 27438
Oh, sorry didn't see before. Yeah that's great news then. Question, i found 2 updates they are not superseded or listed by the tool: Code: WindowsUpdateAgent30-x64.exe 7.47 MB (7,834,471 bytes) CRC32: 8BEF28E5 MD5: 312A8B5B05FDF857CD860168876B4B10 SHA-1: B7BBEF319638E6D3E1874EAFBF1D9B9C7E7D23EB WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe 6.47 MB (6,790,677 bytes) CRC32: 7DF428C0 MD5: 6FC2B3C8912455365B65192D7B61A444 SHA-1: 17E08371FA541510BF5EBA0E4CA81110B1B68CFA What are these?? I have a question for anyone that can answer correctly. With the updates I add to the Windows 7 ISO, sometimes I have to rely on a blank DVD-R and not a USB (8GB stick). But with updates coming out monthly from Microsoft, it is close approaching the 4.7 GB limit of the DVD. What happens when it is over that and I have to rely on a DVD with Windows 7 containing all of the integrated updates I put on it? Would the WHD program prompt me to made a bootable Windows 7 ISO onto 2 DVDs? If so, would the installation of Windows 7 prompt me at some point to insert the second DVD to complete the installation of Windows 7?
I'm going to stick with the 4.7 GB discs. My situation remains the same with a potential problem approaching. Besides seby24gl's suggestion and using a USB stick, what options do people have, if any? Will WHD prompt to split the ISO onto a second DVD if it is larger than 4.7 GB and if so will Windows 7 prompt for that second DVD during installation?
You can make a secondary partition were you can put your instalation Windows files, make partition primary and active and you are done! you have to know to work with diskpart command or use some software to do that. If you have an external hdd you can make as I told you above. You can surf Google and ask for "Install Windows 7 without USB or DVD" !!![h=1][/h][h=1][/h]
