I have now confirmed that the download list is the same for WHD v1.1.8.5 as it is for WHDownloader. They both show the same number of available downloads for Win 7 x64. This beta release may be better coded, but ultimately there is, in my view, no point using it due to the lack of functionality vs. WHD v.1.1.8.5. As long as they can each download the required updates, that is the bottom line.

Im happy you liked the old Windows Hotfix Downloader, if your happy using it for Downloader then by all means continue to do so. It isn't as quick as WHDownloader for loading Updates or Downloading them. You may also find it may stop responding. The decryption used is different and reads much quicker than the old decrypter. Office MSP extraction is also much better.
WHDownloader also has a Sort and Categorize OLD Updates as well as a much more efficient search for Superseded Updates.. ;)

I'm not grasping the purpose of the OLD folder for Windows8.1-x64 Baseline Updates... The same files are also in the Windows8.1-x64 Baseline RTM Updates folder... Why have duplicate files?

Only updates not listed/found in latest lists are classed as 'OLD' :kicking:

So, does this mean I can DELETE the files in the OLD folder?
edit... IIRC, these Duplicate OLD folder files were reported by WHDownloader 0.4 as MISSING even though they were previously downloaded when using Windows Hotfix Downloader so I downloaded them again using WHDownloader which caused DUPLICATION...

Just to add MY bottom line... I NEVER used WHD to integrate anything (no disrespect Alpha... I just use other tools for that) so for me WHD was a high quality and highly supported downloader and now I have an even better one to use: WHDownloader ...Pretty presumptuous about what the "bottom line" is Knives

Hi MMIKEE.. anything not on the selected categories list will be classed as OLD. If you set.. 'MoveOldUpdates=true' in config.ini, these will be placed in the categories 'OLD' folder..
I dont know how you store your downloaded updates, so im going on how i do it.. WHDownloader will replace any existing selected updates (incase of corrupt one(s)). It will also only load updates not found in your downloaded folder.. Hope this makes sense, ive tried to make things as simple as i can for the end user.. So it requires little if no logic or common sense on there part..
    Thanks for feedback.. ;)

    Reading done. Still dont understand.
A critical update for fix RDP, better protocoll-encryption to close the leak.
RDP is default-inactived, but this (critical!) update needed also applyed?
If someone activate RDP have this leak and better download this update?

Explaination for not release over WHD, please? o_O
