I see more and more people these days judging without any explanation given. Maybe you don't understand. comstuff, they both download updates, correct? The bottom line of this new tool is to just do that, correct? The other one can do the same thing, possibly a bit slower, but it gets the job done with identical results, correct? There you have it, the bottom line! Confusion solved, maybe... I'll give another similar situation so that you may have a better chance at understand what I am saying here: There is more than one route to climb to the top of a mountain. Some ways are better and faster than others, but they all end up at the same destination. For the climbers, getting to the top is the bottom line. But stating that, through your point of view, you would assume that I am being presumptuous. Maybe now you can explain to me why that is. I'd like to understand your point of view. Alpha, I'm going to use your new tool to download updates. The main reason why I wish and hope you one day support WHD again is because of the integration features it has. I want to build Windows 7 with all of the updates built into it prior to installation for a cleaner, organized installation. Downloading updates is great but it's only a piece of the puzzle. Without having everything, we're all stuck with an unsupported program that at the moment may never improve again. I don't know of any other alternatives out there that are just as great as WHD v1.1.8.5 is. Hopefully one day I will find one. Until then, I'm going to stick to using your program; not for downloading updates, but for all of the other features it has to offer. I hope you get better soon. We all love your older program. People are supportive of your new tool too, of course; and for understandable reasons. The concept is great. For me, and I'm sure many others, the integration part of it is a crucial component. It's critical that it be available in what I do. I'll say this here with all the judgmental people reading: Keep on doing what you're doing. WHDownloader is the way to go. In the future when you're better, please consider supporting WHD v1.1.8.5 again. Maybe you could even strip out the code that allows it to download updates so that WHDownloader continues to serve it's purpose and they can be run as two separate applications. I'm just throwing that out there. I won't make demands, only suggestions. I'm glad you haven't given up developing like you said you would. This is a good thing for everyone.
I see not reason why make it hard way if the easy way exist.. If anyone me ask for borrowing a boring machine, i give him a boring machine - and not the tutorial to build a boring machine by yourself. ^^ Sorrry didnt see thats also a tool...
If you scroll down to FILE INFORMATION you will see that the actual update number is KB2965788 which is already added to our list
@abbodi1406 Yea ur right, okay gj. But im still dont understand microsoft systems... Why this update is not the same update number? Whats reasons for it?? Normally i see an update its same on all system just with other 6- number. Example for 2969259: Win6.1-KB2969259-x64 Win6.1-KB2969259-x86 Win6.3-KB2969259-x64 Win6.3-KB2969259-x86 So have it, why given other numbers for one and only update ?!
Windows8.1-KB2965739-x64 Hotfix has been moved to Superseded folder by WHDownloader v0.4 on my installation… The abbodi1406 Hotfix Repository Changelog dated 12-Jun-2014 would indicate otherwise… Is this Hotfix actually superseded or no longer required?
Ive got a litttle (MAJOR) update on the way.. ive updated the Extraction method.. old one was sending extra files to downloaded folder.. Posting asap..
I notice I am no longer getting any emails from this (or other) thread(s) I subscribed to, wonder if it has to do with the new "governmental policies"
