They all detect it but some whitelist it. I think Avira does. I've heard of others but I have CRS disease: Can't Remember s**t.
MSFT probably didn't pay them enough Nah, jk. Most AV's prolly get triggered by the heuristic scanner.
I have used NetLimiter as a firewall for years and never touched the bandwidth control features. set default Blocker in/out rules to "Ask" and it's the best interactive personal firewall I'm aware of on Windows my favorite part is that it doesn't use the builtin Windows firewall code, and is implemented a separate kernel driver. NetLimiter truly supports "ask by default", instead of blocking connections then asking if you want to allow them in the future like all the WFP frontends do.
I think it's Avast, not Avira that whitelists autokms.exe. Anyway, it adds it to exclusions automatically. Or maybe I just hallucinated the whole thing.
Well not sure if u guys see the news but Russians have Infiltrated just about all our mayor infrastructure network using malware, they can turn off our lights when ever they want to, so much for software or hardware firewalls
I use comodo FW for many years. ten years I think. So i used it on xp, vista, windows 7 and now on windows 10. It's something to try if you never used it. I don't see any other firewall that would be a serious concurrent for comodo FW.
