ok, I installed win 10 on pc again. It got to the point where i got to my desktop screen and I downloaded chrome on it and I went to set my home page to google and the screen flickered/ blinked and neither icon was on my desktop. The only thing that appeared was the clock in my system tray and taskbar icons. When I clicked on one of the taskbar icons they stayed minimized and the wouldn't maximize.

    WHAT WOULD COZ THIS PLZ?

What do your temperatures look like? Check everything. Reseat everything.
Is anything overclocked? Check the settings in the bios.

Never had issues with temp and the PC was running fine yesterday without issues since I built it in 2016.
Never overclocked it or any pc i have ever owned. Check what in BIOS?

The script you ran can't break hardware. The code is open for all to see. Windows update on your windows 10 install was borked before you ever ran the script. There's something wrong with your computer. The bios contains settings, so check the settings in the bios. You might not have overclocked it, but something could have been done by accident or with software and settings could have been changed. Put your hand on the cpu cooler and see if it burns your hand. Check for obvious things. If you know nothing about hardware, get someone who does to look it over.

Tried a different SSD, same type and model, and it worked ok for a few seconds and a message popped up that I didnt see earlier which said plz install the display settings or something like that. Could it be a bad driver for display that is causing this? Bad graphics card?

what settings in BIOS am I looking for plz?

  8. One thing that works is if you go into C:\windows and then once your there look for a folder that says SoftwareDistribution. Once your in there in that folder delete everything in that folder. Doing that will force reset your Windows Update to reupdate from scratch when you click on it. Hope that helps you as it did for me..

Does this have anything to do with my desktop changing from having the recycle bin and normal system tray icons from appearing to my screen flickering/blinking for a second or two and changing to having nothing on the desktop and just the system clock in the system after reinstalling windows 10?

    thx

That's what the Reset-WindowsUpdate script that I told him to run 2 days ago does.
No, it doesn't. Your problem is data corruption during and after the windows installation but you refuse to believe it.

I told u i was sorry previously in the thread about me thinking it was an script issue. It appears you didnt read 2 times previously. I said I was frustrated.

Thats besides the point but I unplugged the pc and plugged it back in a win 10 loaded without issue. It appears the update Fu'd it up which doesnt surprise me.
