Hi, I'm experiencing the following: If I create a single basic data partition on a fully empty GPT disk, I'm getting different results using diskpart whether I'm running under Windows or WinPE. Under Windows it creates the MSR partition before the desired data partition, however under WinPE it does not create MSR partition at all. Does someone have any explanation why it behaves like this? Also, does anyone have a clue why the MSR partition is recommended by MS? The official docs are very vague in that respect, and I can only exclude some ideas (e.g. bitlocker, ldm) based on answers from different sources.
After installing ADK and creating a catalog file, I found a strange folder in temp named IMGXXXXXXXX and could not delete it because of permissions. A mounted W10 image from where I don't know as I never did this operation. Only solution was launching command prompt as admin and type dism /cleanup-Wim and problem solved.
