hmm something is not correct, a few days ago I was using Windows 10 IoT Enterprise x64 without any problems; but suddenly I was surprised by the warning from MSFT stating that I would no longer receive updates for Windows 10 so I switched to Linux Mint temporarily and waited for developments then I decided to do another test on another SSD I installed Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 x64 just out of curiosity and this is the system I'm running at the moment and I just downloaded another update and oddly enough I didn't receive it no more unpleasant surprises what is happening behind the scenes at MSFT...

Guys with the current release of winappruntime.1.08 ver 1.8.10 having difficulty installing this whilst deploying using setupcomplete.cmd Have used either silent switches WindowsAppRuntimeInstall-x64.exe --quiet or WindowsAppRuntimeInstall-x64.exe --force During setupcomplete I can see the app installing along with its dependencies. When I open winget it complains winappruntime needs updating & downloads & installs 1.8.10? I'm using windows package manager (preview) winget ver: 1.30.140 Can anyone recommend an alternate method to achieve this please? Is it possible Winget is downloading a newer version perhaps?

Thank you, have done a search for this in adguard though cannot locate the file? On my current PC winget mentions the app is up to date & shows this ver in powershell Microsoft. Windows App Runtime. 1.8_8000.616.304.0
With much testing in a vm & bare metal I found if I install each package in this order using setupcomplete.cmd Winget is happy & fully up to date. Might be helpful with anyone else experiencing the same. 1/. 1.8.10 (1.8.260710003) 07/14/2026 2/. 1.8.11 (1.8.260804001) 08/13/2026 3/. 1.8.12 (1.8.260921001) 09/24/2026
