The latest SmartVersion introduced new methods that are not understood by previous versions of SVF tools.
I am doing it via the command line Code: smv x "[el-gr]_el_windows_10_consumer_editions_version_21h1_x64_dvd_57185458.svf" -br . and I didn't know what was wrong and it was producing 0KB files , updated to 3.82 from the site and all good
I updated to 3.82 and I'm still getting errors. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Could you please help a little bit? Spoiler: Image
you use probably smv x64 (or x86) first try to update VC redist (x86 and x64) - remove older versions first in case you have win10 use eg VC redist 14.29.30129.1 or later https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...untimes-2021-05-10.76588/page-29#post-1659185 after setup restart your PC first and check you have enought free space on the target path (place you use to extract the .svf)
Is there a new version of smv? I am still at 3.8 (32 and 64bit linux). ---edit It seems there is. I am of to install that new one.
Thanks Vanelle. It did not work either. I use a Windows 7 x86 VM for extracting ISOs. I uninstalled previous version of VC++ 2015-2019 and installed the latest one I downloaded from the link you provided. After setup, I restarted the VM, launched svfx 3.82, but had the same error. I have 21GB of free space on disk, good enough, right? I then tried on another VM, this time it's Win10 21H1 x64. It worked as expected this time. Never had a problem on my W7 x86 with svfx, until today.
Works perfect Win 7 x64 Spoiler Also tried with iso, svf and svfx spread out in different locations including white space in path, still good Then on Win 7 x86 - big trouble Spoiler
