I was able to install now with no issues using Windows-7-Games-For-Windows-8-and-10-Multilanguage-x86-x64. Thanks to all for this very helpful thread and set of patches!!!
what is the difference between this version and winaero version? i tested both, they work in windows 10 v1809, so that's why i ask about difference?
I have just joined the forum.. following a link to find how to get legacy games into my new Windows 10 notebook. Evidently the file Windows-7-Games-For-Windows-8-and-10-Multilanguage-x86-x64.zip is what I am looking for.. but where do I download it from? Thank you for your time.
Uh.. yes. But don't we all have a "first" post. But it seems that looking again manage to find the link that I must have missed the first time.
With "First post", he meant the first post of the thread aka OP: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-7-games-for-windows-8-8-1-multilanguage.56428/
Thanks for this, you just made Windows 10 "bearable" for my Mother in law :-D I love the silent command line documentation, as a guy that builds SCCM deployments I really appreciate that info and wish more developers were as forward with that info! Great work! Mark p.s. I am not going to deploy this at work
Thank you once again - have reinstalled following a 'reset PC' and it's great to still find I can access my old favourite games from your download.
Hello, i can install the Games, but if i want to start them, then comes no window, but there is no error message :/ Things that i tried: - sfc /scannow - repaired install - clean install - redownload - Event logs (there stand nothing) I have the newest windows 10 (1903 updatet july). Can anyone help me?
HI drei50 first to MDL , second you already installed .NETFX3 and in sequence installed DirectX9.0C ?
I think it's an service error, but i dont know which service. Does anyone know which elements and which service are needed for the Win7-Games? (i tested the winearo-version, too, but it doesn't work, too.)
Hmm did you happen to make any modifications to the original ISO with MSMG Toolkit or with third-party tools like NTLite?
