I can see that this Servicing Stack update adds support for the Extended Security Updates? Code: "Extendedsecurityupdatesai.dll 6.1.7601.24516 78,336 16-Aug-2019 01:02"
Preparing maybe like W10 1607, it can be bypassed by offline integration Code: ESU: Offline is not supported i see this registry path, maybe that's how it check and allow Embedded 7 Code: key: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\POSReady value: Version
Interesting... I always assumed that Windows 10's servicing mechanism was more advanced than previous versions and allowed updates to distinguish between the various editions. Guess not. That would actually give me a chuckle if it worked
even though MS says that KB4516655 (new SSU) replaces KB4490628 (old SSU), it doesn't seem true. without the old KB4490628, I cannot install KB4516655 or the newest CU KB4516065 and I get the error 0x80092004 crypt_e_not_found. -andy-
The same here! This bad update quality lately was the main reason for the complete system change from Windows to Mac.
@abbodi1406 is there a list of post-SP1 dynamic updates for the Windows 7 installation media, similarly to 8.1 and 10? I've seen it mentioned in the various components of System Image Manager but couldn't find anything.
I'm not sure i ever seen or used them updating boot.wim 2 then copy files from sources is more reliable
Thanks for the answer I have another question Is it possible to integrate .net framework 4.8 into windows7 wim ? I know it is possible for windows 10
No, the only way I know to integrate .net 4.8 is to reverse integrate it into a Win7 image in audit mode. But there are other methods of integrating .net 4.8 into a Windows 7 .wim. Which you might find on this site.
