Turns out that in July, I forgot to install the SSU.

Got it offered today (KB5028264), after successfully installing .NET and CU updates and a restart.
Hope it isn't a Bad Thing™ to have done it in reverse order...

    Not at all
2022-09 KB5017397 is still the minimum required SSU

Github this is no problem, good solution, I thank you very much for the years of hard work to organize and share it so that everyone can save time and efficiency in making integrated patches, thank you my dear friend abbodi1406 - greetings from Gaara.

    Worthless updates.

Apparently Microsoft has decided to blow off security updates. o_O

Question, I have a Win7 PC updated to May 2022 updates, and I don't want to take it any further than that, I get all sorts of problems with later updates

I have a list of all the updates on this PC, how can I make something that could bring another vanilla Win7 install up to parity with this one, update wise? If I run the patch and Windows Update it will ump me to the latest, but I only want to go up to May 2022. Any ideas?

You can use simplix update pack from may 2022, mirror 3 (gdrive) from here still works https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...win7-distribution.45005/page-214#post-1734462
There was another version released 2 days later but it only added odin activator which majority dont use, otherwise it had the same set of updates.

You can hide each Monthly Rollup in WU until you get 2022-05 one
    or install it yourself

Interesting. You just hide the latest one, re-run WU, and it will bring the previous months up?

Dumb question but what are those? :)

Is there any way to make a "custom" Simplix like update pack where I can pick and choose what updates to include in the update package? I have my current PC set up just right and I can rin the command to see all updates installed, so I have that list.

If Microsoft doesn't fix the security issues in W7 again, then I will definitely upgrade to Windows 10. You can start throwing s**t at me.

By the way, I don't understand the motives of those who are still sitting on W7 and what their justification is. Tell me, I'm interested to know.
