Windows 7 Image Updater - SkyLake\KabyLake\CoffeLake\Ryzen Threadripper

hello… i have a ryzen7 3800x and an asus b550a mobo after running the tool i get to the completing installation screen and then it freezes… before running the tool i would get stuck at windows starting screen… if that helps. assistance would be greatly appreciated!

 

This "tool" was discontinued long ago, long before the 500 series amd chipsets. Hence the "stuck at X stage" problem you're experiencing.

1. You need CSM option in your bios and you need it to be enabled.
2. You need drivers for your board's storage(USB/SATA/NVME).

 

its weird cause in ntlite it says i have all of those... possibly i am using incorrect drivers? its very hard to find the correct drivers

 

If the base board has a Class 3 UEFI (no CSM), Windows 7 cannot be installed the normal way. You'd need to use a project such as

Regardless, you're better off installing windows 10. At this point you're probably losing performance, rather than getting more, seeing as windows 7 has no actual optimizations for ryzen processors.

 

i want to install windows 7 in order to play bio shock lol. im willing to pay if someone can get it installed for me… i have put many hours into trying and cant figure it out

 

I've installed all 3 BioShock games on windows 10 21H2 x64 and they work. BioShock 2 is kinda funky due to apparently crappy coding/old graphics API but that's a different matter.

 

i tried the first bio shock on 21h1 and couldnt get it to work… i also would like to mess around with windows 7 html… ill pay you if u can help me out!

 

little update... ive managed to get the the completing installation point in the install... then it either freezes or says "windows cannot complete install"

Trying to get this to work on a Gigabyte H410M S2H but not having any luck.
I have added USB3 drivers but the SATA drives don't show up.

I have a Windows 7 install already running but it is Chinise. So I know it is possible, how though i am not sure.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

 

Maybe use a more supported tool? this one is not updated in quite a while.

 

Can I just adding the needed driver into my Windows 7 Installation without Windows Update patch because I'm somewhat wanted to update Windows 7 patch manually. Though I wish to have my Windows 7 running with my newest setups. It felt awfully disappointed when I realize that my effort to upgrade my PC also cost my OS life.

My setups are Ryzen 3 3300X, and B550 chipset. Thanks
