It looks like MS is retiring the MS Hotfix service, so get as many old win8.1 hotfixes as possible before MS removes them. By the way, is there an update integrator tool for Win8.1 that is similar to W10UI?
What is the advantage of komm's integrator/repository over something like WSUS offline? Is it down to preference?
The list of updates/hotfixes available through KUC is more complete. Every non-superseded update/hotfix that is available from MS is offered by KUC. His app will detect superseded updates your system may have installed and offer to uninstall them. If your system has bad/corrupt updates, his app will attempt to fix them. Everything is installed in the proper order. You can choose whether or not to update specific features in Windows (e.g. IIS, Hyper-V, etc). With updates that include both GDR & LDR branches, you can choose to install only the LDR portion. You can choose whether or not to include superseded updates that Windows Updates wants to see installed. It's a powerful app.
BTW, the latest Monthly Rollup, KB4462921 introduces a new version of the CPU blocking wuaueng.dll. This means WuaCpuFix doesn't work and Wufuc won't stop the warning message of Unsupported CPU. Windows 7 didn't get an updated wuaueng.dll (lucky bastards). If anybody knows of any aditional tool to bypass the CPU restriction do let me know.
I'm pretty sure MS had forgotten about Flash update KB4462930 and they won't supersede or expire it soon
It happens a lot of times and the biggest pain are the office updates. Every time you see three updates for the same component and the two of them of course are superseded.
