    Hi everybody,

    Does anyone get a link to download Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK), the new WAIK for Windows 8.
    Only MSDN subscriber can download it. I don't have a account.

    MS posted a link to download a setup file for ADK that once installed would allow to download and install selected by user ADK packages that support Windows 8 Consumer Preview. I don't have enough posts on this forum to post the link, but you can google it: Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) for Windows® 8 Consumer Preview.

    What if I need only a few apps like ImageX and DISM? Can someone post direct links to ISO files representing components included into ADK, or the ADK ISO file? You can google, what components are included: Installing the Windows ADK .

    Well if you are looking for WAIK 3.5 (Windows 8), you can get it from the windows 8 developer preview iso..

    - Copy the boot.wim file from the iso to a folder
    - There are two images in the boot.wim, you can mount either one of them to a folder..
    - Open the mounted folder and there you can see a folder named tools
    - Inside that folder there are folders name
    AMD64 and Servicing (64bit Windows 8 DP)
    Servicing and x86 (32Bit Windows 8 DP)
    - Inside AMD64 and x86 folders you can get ImageX, DISM

    Sadly, they don't bundle them with Build 8250 (Consumer Preview), not even in the Windows 8 Server preview. :mad:

    I don't want to download the entire ADK again.
    does anybody know the links for the WPE installer?
    Seems I require it to install DART8.

    I have adksetup.exe and its only 2MB.
    Running it will allow you to choose what you want to download.
    It has Windows PE for x64 & x86 which is a 3GB download.

    You mean Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK) for Windows 8.1 Preview (aka: ADK 8.1)?

    Thanks, I'm curious if there's a new setting in autounattend.xml for "BootToDesktop". I wouldn't mind anybody mentioning it here if they find it ;)
