WUMT seems to work for POSReady updates with @TigTex's wsusscn2_sha1.cab, for now.

Is it because of the XP source code leak incident? This is good news anyway.

Yes, you're right. Office 2010 is supported until October 2020.

Windows XP sp3 has limited support for sha2 Windows XP Support

Prior to Windows XP Service Pack 3, there was no SHA2 functionality within Windows XP. With the release of Service Pack 3 some limited functionality was added to the crypto module rsaenh.dll. This includes the following SHA2 hashes: SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512. SHA-224 was not included.

    Windows Server 2003 Support

Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 does not ship with support for SHA2. This limitation can become an important concern when processing smart card logons and for mutual TLS authentications to web servers. As unlike other technologies, smart card logon and mutual TLS both use strict revocation checking; so should either the certificate itself or the revocation information (CRL/OCSP) use SHA2, the logon would fail.

    KB 938397

Though support SHA2 is not included in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, it is available for download. KB 938397 will bring Windows Server 2003 to the same level of functionality as Windows XP with Service Pack 3. KB 938397 is not available via Windows Update; it needs to be requested via the “View and request hotfix downloads” link on the support page . Note, KB 938397 is also offered for Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1.

you also need to update the cert's for web browsing otherwise you just get the DNS could not be found s**t. start with google root cert's and Microsoft Baltimore root certs ..,. don't use IE6 -IE8 because they dont have the component's.... use google chrome 48-49 to do this. turn off or disable google update and update service's and schedule task manager for update's . turn off a few flag's in chrome://flags ... figure that one yourself on what to disable webRCT the one that leak's s**t to the outside world. ... you are just using google chrome to get the system to date. Hope this help's people who still use XP and Vista and sever 2003.

M$ have been using free software in there system's since 1970 change it and make it there's we all should do the same as them. when you pull the program apart you see the real truth.

thats because that was pulled in 2018-19 as stated "View and request hotfix downloads" which M$ pulled down shortly afterwards.
    So no bubble burst :)

and just to clarify all windows version's work and on the internet in 2020 from win 3.1NT - Win10.. you just have to know what to do to get it to work.

the last time i used windows XP original first version .... got told That that version was banned ... Take it from me the whole industry is lieing !
