Hello! Have you seen by any chance the script that I have created? Could you check it out and tell me if I am missing anything that should be included? I have gone by what windows update was offering me while it was still alive but since I only had a basic vista installation there might be things missing.
Updated: 2025.02.23, See Here Adjustments: 1. Integrated 2025.02 Patch Tuesday Updates. 2. Added 4 updates: kb973245, kb974729, kb975755, kb2652137 [Thanks to @Master Janosch and Dell Resource Media Disk 2011] 3. Updated the Loop-B package for Vista (Added Feb 2025 IE9 Updates).
1. What is Loop-B package? 2. And what is install order? - I figured it out, in February you changed the numbering and became clearer. 3. In you repository/list i find updates for NET 2.0 and 3.0, but if i use 3.5.1, i need them? 4. In you repository i find NET 4.5.2 package. As far as I know, it is completely replaced by 4.6.2 and does not need if i use new version, or have any nuances?.
For Q1, The description is now added in Step# 6. For Q3, Yes, they are separate products. For Q4, You must install the old one first. For .NET Framework 4.6.2, you will get stuck on the official installer because the installer cannot verify the files if you don't install any updates regarding to win32k.sys. So, the last version which is proved to be OK to run directly on Windows Vista SP2 without installing any other updates is the .NET Framework 4.5.2. You can install .NET Framework 4.6.2 after installing the latest LCU.
Updated: 2025.03.12, See Here Adjustments: 1. Integrated 2025.03 Patch Tuesday Updates. 2. Updated the Loop-B package for Vista (In 01.PatchedModules Folder) (Added Mar 2025 IE9 Updates). 3. Rehost all the files (except x86 ones) on Google Drive. 4. Reuploaded kb3161949 for file stability. 5. Added Some Regedit Fix for Windows Vista and Server 2008 SP2. (In 04.RegFix Folder)
The 4.6.2 installer is sha2 signed so you need to install kb4474419 (SHA2 support) before trying to install it. Also it is a good idea to install kb2763674 (related to application signing) and kb4019478 (d3d compiler) before the .net. I don't remember if all of them were needed or just the SHA2 support.
For kb971394 for vista, it is on The Hotfix Share website that was shut down a few months ago. And my Windows XP side still doesn't have a complete update file for SP2.
