Before this error, I installed 127 updates offered in the taskbar but when I try to search for more updates, the IE error appears. EDIT: Neverwind, I saw at page 3 that WUMT works. Thanks anyway
The behavior is known. A final solution unfortunately not a similar behavior happen if you try to online-activate XP<SP3 (sp3 online activation works, RTM-SP2b (SP2C not checked)) the problem are security connections (M$, Google, and many other WWW-pages not shown) - 1 check your PC Date and time (clock setting). - then you can try manual install latest fresh root certificates from M$ - and manual install latest ActiveX version if this doe's not help, change the security settings inside the XP-IE
My Microsoft Updates is still working just fine using this work around: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-xp-updates.40006/page-4#post-1346337 Also Update catalog is working when I am in Microsoft updates and scroll down to "Admin Options" and access it from there.
Strange. I'm using WUMT in XP Professional with the Posready trick and I don't have any update available. Why? Thanks
No, not applicable. Barring a few exceptions lately, MS has not released any updates for the original XP since April 2014.
well, for now, nothing broken, the kernel is the same, thats why the updates are fully compatible, I've been using this since years and there is no issues at this time, so, seems is safe to use.
