About new EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) bios.

    Hello,
    does anyone know something about those new bios with graphical interface and the use of the mouse integrated also.
    I mean if they will add some new protection to block the mod of the bios, make unable the add of slic table ?

    There are a lot of EFI already, especially found at notebooks. Anyway the interface is still boring at most of them.
    If there is a graphical interface or not doesn't depend on if it's EFI already or still BIOS. Asus, for instance, has a graphical interface (Express Gate) and BIOS.

    Andy's tool can decompose Tiano and LZMA compressed EFI. It also can reintegrate modified modules. To mod an existing SLIC is no problem at all, also to introduce one (middleton's code) is possible. The structure of EFI is known already.
    The only problem is Intel. They digitally sign their EFI which makes any modification almost impossible.
