Activate Vista - need to reinstall?

    A quick question (I've done a search but can't find my answer): I have Vista on at the moment, running on the timecrack, so I can't get any updates. I want to flash the BIOS so it will be properly activated.

    Can I just flash the BIOS and Vista will be activated, or do I have to reinstall Vista from scratch?

    Mobo is an ASRock 775 Dual VSTA.
