An all-around workhorse with definite gaming capabilities. I have a 1070 ti on the shelf so I do plan to play a few titles.
Those Raven Ridge cpu's are the 2200G and 2400G. They have graphics added into the cpu's like those A series older chips but they are much better than the Intel graphics. Of course they are not going to compare to discrete gpu's but they can play some games. These cpu's make good "economy boxes" because you do not need a discrete gpu and most average folks that do not game or run cad...ect. Do not need a discrete gpu anyway. I am speaking of those folks that just watch you tubes, get their email and shop on line
Absolutely. For standard computing use, having integrated graphics is a pleasure...and saves loads of money!
Post-Computex results! AMD's announcements at Computex in Taipei. All processors going to shelves July 7. (X570 motherboards also being released by OEM partners.) RYZEN 7 $329 3700x 36 MB CACHE 8-core 16-thread 3.6 Base 4.4 Boost 65w ---claiming it is 1/3 faster than i7 9700K using Cinebench R7 Synthetic $399 3800X 36 MB CACHE 8-core 16-thread 3.9 Base 4.5 Boost 105w ---claiming it is equal to i7 9900K in gaming RYZEN 9 $499 3900X 70 MB CACHE 12-core 24-thread 3.8 Base 4.6 Boost ---claiming it is 18% faster than 9920K, Intel's 12-core cpu 105w (compared to 9920K TDP of 165w) ---9920K costs $1200...compared to this one at $499
I am actually interested in one comparison (only): Intel Core i9-9900K vs Ryzen 9 3900X. Both are in the same price category and their comparison is suitable to determine a performance gap (Intel vs AMD) and the I9 has a good TDP, but the Ryzen will have 4+ cores. Besides of that 500 bucks would be a reasonable top limit to spend for a new CPU..IMHO...
In the other forum, I was asked that as well. My response was: "I honestly don't know. But I have heard that their numbers are more "real-world" and accurate. Perhaps people with AMD builds can enlighten us?" EDIT: @ Enthousiast Thanks for asking me that question. I just got my first "10 point trophy!" hehe
Amd is great but the perf of those amd processors are bit higher then intel which are not that higher from older gens And intel prices are ridicules Amd processors are half Which is not enuf fmo (still those 6 8 cores are quite expensive campare to 4 cores from 3th Gen) Cos intel didnt made big improvement campare to older gens anyways Lets just campare it to apple ipad processor Which is 5k for sc in geekbench For few watts mb
Perhaps the trade war will be resolved very soon - if USA decided to call off the planned imposition of more tariff. This ban on Chinese tech and imposing tariff on Chinese products is not helping world economy. Those of us in the developing nations have no choice than to watch as the fight unfold. We are always the ones to pay the price as almost everything we consume is based on the tech from USA and made in China. I intend to buy another RYZEN AMD processor soon but with the aforementioned I would wait until everything is settled.
That is why I think people should remain humble and grateful, and try to remember not to empahsize their "1st-world" problems. I'm with you, friend. I am not so sure on "waiting" for the trade war. The theatrics that these world leaders play is unpredictable. I am going to purchase when my funds allow and be done with it. Prices might double down the road...for everything. If you follow global real estate patterns you will know that consumer debt has risen by the trillions in just a few years, housing is absurdly inflated, and a global recession is impending...soon. So I will purchase at the first opportunity.
At my usual supplier many intel 9xxx cpus have been overdue since may 15th(?) and are now showing due 31st july and other stuff are regularly out of stock. I did read that 10th generation is coming later on. The core i3 9100F may be 2 different chips, one a quad and the other a crippled 6 core. Intels supply is iffy, overpriced and so many products to choose from. Ryzen 1xxx and 2xxx are always in stock and never out of stock for long. CCL has both generations at really potty prices right now and even with 3000 due in 4 weeks they are hard to ignore. Less vulnerabilities make them attractive and intel performance once patched slows them down, there has got to be a hairs breadthe between them, 3000 will close that gap. Even if intel is better than Ryzen 3000 you cant buy intel if its never in stock. I think Ryzen 3000 will sell very well.
Im gonna sit n wait for 7/7 then 31st July. INtel has the i3 9300 and 9320 coming, both overclockers, 62w, they may be soldered.
