Yen helped me make the modification, but it is my main machine, and I don't think I have the gonads to take a 60 / 40 chance of turning my laptop into a hockey puck. First of all... sorry for my bad english (i'm spanish)

Please, anyone can helpme for mod bios of ASUS P5B-E Plus?

I have tried this:

1.- Download bios from asus website, version 0617
2.- Download Ami_Slic3_0630
3.- On Amis_Slic3, select Asus for XP and Asus for vista
4.- Press "Go" button and program it says "OK"
5.- Flash bios with afudos, result ok
6.- Restart, in Vista instert licence information... windows says OK. But windows is not activate... remain 23 days.

I have tried too download bios mod 0602 for "china4ever", windows activate, but ever have overclock error. Flash again with 0617, windows deactivate.

It works on most AMI bios, but not all of them.

 

all i got is "fail to load kernel library" when i start ami_slic3.exe on vista ultimate x32..any ideas?

 

i dont have xp installed but compatibility mode did the trick, thanks!
