Thanks for reply. I'll have a look at it. I was a 'beta' tester as Zhaoliang developed the tool. The replacement / extraction of modules is done by amimmwin, a external (old) command line prog. I've also noticed that it removes (overwrites) some code of the bios with FFh bytes by just replacing the 1b module with the unmodified one. So e.g. the ASUSTEK marker string will be removed. Zhaoliangs code has to replace it again... What version of mmtool have you used? 3.19? The structure of an AMI bios is the most unknown to me. Award and Phoenix I know much more about.
It was MMTool "3.19Mod-21FiX" that I found on the rebels haven forums (modified by Nightforce?). Thanks for the info about amimmwin, I guess I'll try it out to see what it does.
Hey thanks for that!! It flashes ok There is now only one SLIC, a DELL one but the RSDT and XSDT still show as "RM plc" Cheers!
There is no 1B.rom. You have a core 7 bios. These are modded very differently. The risk is greater for you. Use the Andyp tool for this, SSv3 is safest.
It is really good, I really love it and let me send a thousand of thanks to this forums. once again, thanks indeed
