The latest SI 3112 ROM should be 4.4.02 from their site. Are there any jumpers on your PCI card?

In the HDAMAI BIOS, under the Boot menu, do you have bootable addon cards at the top of the list?

    there are no jumpers...

yes i can select -bootable addon cards - but no boot from sata drive.

Now i installed clearos on ide drive. It works with no problem .

SATA drive is still having problem as second drive- it is recognized-formatted- mounted but after cca. 200MB of writting i get an error.

    ata1.00: qc timeout (cmd 0xec)
    ata1.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I/O error, err_mask=0x4)
    ata1.00: revalidation failed (errno=-5)
ata1: failed to recover some devices, retrying in 5 secs
    ata1: hard resetting link
ata1: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 310)
    ata1.00: configured for UDMA/100
    ata1: EH complete

I tested 3 different SATA disks but always the same.

I flashed bios with Sata RAID and Sata Link- the same.

Do you think it is a HW -sata pci card issue ?

    Any idea ? ;)

    ACPI compliant BIOS ?

I bought this board second hand thinking it would make a nice gaming machine and could be upgraded to 64bit OS built a custom box for it and everything… Installed Windows XP 32bit until I could get Windows 7 Pro 64bit OS but when I tried to install W7 Pro all I get is blue screen BIOS not fully ACPI compliant. When I bought the board the advertisement said Rev. G but after running a scanner I found out it’s a Rev. D. I am not using it as a server I am using it as a desktop configuration. Can you please point me to an ACPI compliant BIOS that works with this board and Windows 7 Pro 64bit OS? Thank you, :worthy: AccelerTech Rev. Thanks for the reply. Now, maybe you can clarify whether I should use the SATA-LINK or SATA-RAID version? I understand what SATA_RAID is (and at present my friend is not planning on raid'ing his disks together), but honestly I do not know what SATA-LINK stands for (as simple as SATA support without RAID?)

Also, might you be able to answer another question pertaining to this board? My friend gave up on the board, so I have it now, trying to get it going for him. I am currently in the process of installing Windows XP on it. It all seems to be going well - for the moment. I needed the WinXp drivers for FastTrak S150 TX4 support - which I eventually found on the web somewhere. After I get the XP version running, I will (hopefully) move on to attempting to flash the bios as you suggested, and then install Win7 on it. I presume I will I need a new set of FastTrak drivers? And if so, might you know where I might obtain them?

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hello,
First time poster here... I just bought a 2U Rackable Server on eBay, it's a model C2104 as best I can determine, and it has an HDAMAI-B motherboard (i.e. no IPMI slot, nor on-board 3114 SATA). On bootup and in the bios setup screen it shows the bios level as v1.26 with a build date of 08/09/07, Rioworks site has v1.12, and tqhoang's is the only other bios I've found so far and he's at v1.23 so I'm stumped as to where it came from and what all it supports, any guidance?

    Thank You!

Ok, XP seems to run just fine on this board. Now, can you point me to the correct BIOS for this board in order to be able to attempt the install of Win7? I know you state that I can "pick one", but it looks like all the choices end with an higher Opteron than what this board supposedly supports. The board I have has Opteron 244's in it (though I have a spare set of 246's and 256's).

    Thanks again for your help.

Wow, interesting to find newere BIOS revisions for boards that are so old. Could you backup your BIOS and upload to a public file share like sendspace or multiupload? You'll need a floppy disk.

This sounds like a hardware/firmware incompatibility between the SATA PCI card and the hard drive(s). I have had good luck with the Rosewill brand of Silicon Image cards, namely the 2-port models that use the SI 3512 chip under both CentOS Linux and Windows 7.

For some reason, I never had good luck with a few Sabrent cards using the SI 3124 PCI-X chip...would never find the WD SATA hard drives.

I'm not sure if I got this bios backed up properly... phlash16 always hangs at the backup step when I use the /BU= option, so I tried Uniflash and here's what I got-> sendspace.com/file/4ylsgn (forum won't let me include attachments yet, too few posts!)

It's only 128KB vs the v112 bios file being 512KB (?). If it's not right please provide me with better directions for how to get it backed up and I will retry.
    Thank you!

    @DerekFlint

What usually works for the phlash16 backups is to pretend to flash the BIOS and also add the /BU option. Then after it backs up the existing BIOS, it should prompt you before flashing the new one.

Maybe try this with a bootable DOS floppy that has the HDAMAI v1.23 BIOS and PHLASH16.EXE on it.
    Ex: phlash16 /PN /NOB /BU BIOS.WPH

Hopefully my second try was better, here's the link to hdamai.126 on sendspace...

    sendspace.com/file/pijjgo

Let me know if this backup is ok, and I'd be very interested to hear what you can find in this version.
    Thank You!

I want to set auto suspend mode. But it still doesnt work. I habe tried to activate wake on lan and the standby-suspend options.

    Everthing i did dosn't Work.

Windows also wont go in Suspend mode automaticly.

    My Server information:

    Windows 2008 R2 Sp1
Arima Rhapsody HDAMA Mod Bios 1.18B Silicon Raid Driver and ACPI
    HD5450 PCI Edition
    2 x Seagate 2tb in Raid 0
    1 Seagate 250gb for Windows.

    Thats it...

What can i do if the ASPM option for Windows 2008 is important?

    @tqhoang,
Unfortunately I'm unable to do testing of Silicon Image ROM as my motherboard is the version that lacks onboard SATA. Sorry!

    Urgent Help Please

    Hi tqhoang,

I 've been trying to download the CD image from your 3rd post but all the links for downloads seems to be incorrect as what it shows is ht tp:// hdamag_cd_218.zip/ anyway to correct it. By the way all the links for all downloads looks similar to this one (ht tp:// FILENAME.ZIP/)

    Thanks

The links to the FTP server are offline indefinitely. If you look at the note in the post, I have mirrored all my mods to multiupload.com in the first post of this thread.

    What do i wrong?

Hi, i am new here. So please excuse my stupid question.
I am from germany, so please excuse my bad english, too.

I am sure that this is the right page for my problem. I have read the whole thread, like many others which always linked me to this.

I have found here the bios files i need, but i can not download them.

When i click on the multiupload link in the first post and than on "download" i will only get a banner with informations from the FBI.

    What do i wrong??

The website multiupload was shutdown by the FBI. Just select one of the other links from the download page.
