    You basically run one of the .BAT files to flash the BIOS.

    I'd suggest you update to the original v2.18 first (F_ORIG.BAT) and then reboot. Then boot the CD again and run only one of the other ones.

    F_SIL54.BAT = v2.18 + last official Silicon Image ROM v5.4.0.3 (seems to fix a lot of hard drive detection problems)
    F_SIL55.BAT = v2.18 + latest un-official Silicon Image ROM v5.5.0.0 (adds some tweaks for Windows 7 / 2008 R2)
    F_DSDT.BAT = v2.18 + SI ROM v5.5.0.0 + ACPI DSDT mod for PowerNow support (only for Opteron 250 E4 (OSA250FAA5BL))

    What great news! BTW, do you have multiple machines with the HDAMA-I motherboard? I'm curious if Windows XP boots with your BIOS.

    I should consolidate all of my Arima HDAMA rev.G & I BIOS'es into a new post. Maybe even add my HDAMB (similar workstation motherboard with AGP).

    Sorry I just have the one motherboard, I have since installed SBS2008 server and it's running fine.

    I would imgine XP would work no problem as well.

    Yep those Bios are very handy and with the amount of HDAMA-I mb's on ebay at the moment. They are going to be in demand.

    thanks again

    Ok, actually some people reported ACPI problems loading WinXP with the HDAMA-G BIOS, so I was just curious if the same happened with the HDAMA-I BIOS.

    Could you do one last thing though? Can you verify if Windows is doing the CPU scaling properly? You can load CPU-Z to watch the current voltage & frequency.

    I have tried creating a bootable cd and exicuting the phlash16 app in one of the downloads to flash the bios but it just errors, I also tried to run the batch files contained in the download too but they fail to work.

    What is the best way to create the boot CD and exicute the rom flash?

    Hat off to tqhoang for his excellent work moddin' the bios' on here.

    I have finally been able to flash my server with HDAMA-G BIOS v2.18B + Silicon Image 3114 ROM v5.5.0.0 bios. Even though the bios now picks up my single SATA drive at start up splash screen and in the RAID config, I can't see any options to configure the server to use a single drive. Are there any bios and/or jumper settings I need to set?

    So in other words, I can't install an operating system...(was looking at putting Win 2003 and using the machine as a VMware lab).

    Any ideas?

    No sata and windows 7

    I have not yet set my board up with an OS as i am waiting for the power supply to arrive but will be wanting to install windows 7. My board does not have the Sata chip or ports on board, so i will either be using a PCI-X sata card or an IDE drive. Will i need to install this custom firmware to make it work or is it only the revisions with sata chips? If i do need to install it, is it possible somebody could write an idiot proof guide as i really dont want to mess this up.

    Hey all,

    I am new here so bear with me, I have bought a system off ebay, it came today however the system keeps on powering down and not only that but when trying tosetup win server 2003 I get error 0x0000007B which is innaccessible boot device, the system keeps on powering down abruptly does anyone know anything I can do, I am also literate enough to upgrade the BIOS but is this really needed for this problem, is the system known to be like this and power down?
