Question is for Yen. Is it imperative that flashing be done from DOS? Can it be done from within Windows Vista using Gigabyte flashing program @BIOS? Or can it be done by using Gigabyte's Q-Flash utility during boot (no need for floppy)? Solracna
I don't know, since I cannot try. I always advise to use the manufacturers DOS related tools.... I don't prefer to flash from XP / Vista. Most bricked boards came from XP / Vista flashtools.... The FLASH895 ma79xds5.f6 command is confirmed to work, the other ways not (yet).....why don't you create a bootable DOS USB stick using HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool? Q-flash could be a useful alternative, but NOT @BIOS... Btw: Did another mod as well. SLP1 and SLP2.0.........
