Thought I shoudl post it here as well.

I was flashing an Acer 4750G (EFI / Insyde BIOS) earlier on windows then I left it. When I came back, it was still on but the screen in blank.
I hold the Power to turn it off, then turn it back on. It was booting (there's a beep sound) but the screen is still blank.

I've searched here but I can't find someone who have successfully recover from a bad flash.

    Help with bricked DV7T-2000 CTO

Ok folks, I'm at a total loss here. I managed to brick my HP DV7T-2000 CTO laptop and despite trying several of your suggestions on this thread I was not able to recover my bios. Perhaps some of you here have had better luck on the same machine as mine, and if you did I would like to ask for your help.
    Thanks guys.

    Hi guys,

Managed to brick my HP 6440b Probook. I did the latest Bios update, all ok but on the restart it went to a black screen and just kept turning off.

I have tried a lot of different methods, but im not sure which one i should be doing.

Any help or ideas on what bios i have would be great.

    Thanks

    :(((((((((((((((((((( HELP

    I have Sony VAIO F12 VCPF126FM
    BIOS: AMI APTIO efi

After flashing rom file with switches /p /n I tried to reboot. But after shuting down it was just with power LED turned on and that's it. I have flashed another bios rom file half an hour ago but next one was more modified. Now it turns on with black screen and every 3 seconds or so fan stops and starts and I see led on USB drive flashes every 3 seconds or so (maybe 5)

tried with Ctrl + home and AMIBOOT. HELP!(((((9

I'm sure you need to flash with an unmodified original BIOS renamed to AMIBOOT.rom. Good luck ;)

I tried Ctrl + home and powering up while holding it and AMIBOOT.ROM and with batfile and afudos and amif895. But nothing:( BIOS: AMI APTIO I made BIOS mod to unhide some setting using AMIbcp 4.5 I made bat file with amiwin R112....ROM /p /n where p means program main BIOS and n means nvRAM. I started an update and... all was fine. Then I tried to reboot and it shut down, then it took 5-10 seconds of black screen and the it booted. All was fine except only settings were unhide which were in already opened menus. But there are other 2 menus (Advanced#2 and Chipset). So after setting BIOS to default I made another mod of BIOS and flashed it. But this time after reboot it took over a minute with black screen and that's it. I waited little a=more and had to push power button for 5 seconds. Then I try to turn it on and I see green light always on power button, every 3-5 seconds fan starts and stops. And led of HD and USB drive flashes every 3-5 seconds. Help me please. Boot block should be fine.

If this is AMI Aptio, so the BIOS recovery filename is not AMIBOOT.ROM. Andy's Phoenix SLIC tool will be able to tell you the correct recovery filename. Try that.

BTW, be careful with the leaked AMIBCP v4.5. software. I detected an anomaly while playing with it. I unable to describe it but it changes some values which it should not. It doesn't happen all the time though. It might generate corrupted image.

Hi, I need help with ASUS F9E AMI BIOS recovery after BIOS modding. My screen is black and there are only 2 led alighted (bluetooth and another with a lamp symbol), all the method listed in first page didn't work for me and maybe it should be a KEY COMBINATION problem. Do you know any other key combination?

On ASUS notebook, hotkey for BIOS recovery should be Ctrl+Home. Probably you put wrong recovery filename.

After thousand attempts to recovery Insyde BIOS F.23, file namend 01448F23.bin and a lot of reading, I concluded that I need the signed file and put it and the bin file in the Current directory of a pendrive created with HP BIOS Update UEFI tool. The file correct file names are 01448.bin and 01448.sig, the bin file can be download from hp site, the sig file is in te HP restore partition of pavilion HD. I deleted this partition and i don't have the .sig file, can somebody send me the .sig file to try recover the BIOS with this metod?. Thanks advance!
