It's my first post here so please be kind. I think this is the perfect thread to ask in though. I am running vista64 and I am trying to find a tool/program that will allow me to change the SMBIOS manufacturer of my home built pc. Basically I found a demo program available that is set to only run on their pc's. When I try to run the .msi file it says it only works on Niveus computers. A poster in the forum said "The only way this'll work is if you change (or fool the program to believe it has been changed) the WMI of Computer Manufacturer to Niveus" Does such a tool exist and if I run such a tool is there a chance of bricking my computer? thanks in advance for any help offered.
