There is full section on here on BIOS Recovery procedures in there you will find info on how to make bootable cd and bootable usb thumdrives e.c.t. also on a side note always finalise cd don't use multi-session for boot cd's. they are not always compatible especially with older computers.

There is nothing in the "BIOS Recovery procedures" for flashing the bios with a CD. Most older boards don't support booting from a USB stick either (no boot menu option during post). If his bios update is 1Mb it won't fit on a floppy drive with the system files. For downgrading the Afudos or Award tool may be the only option. There are several reasons why he may have requested the CD method opposed to USB or floppy.
