Please, how and where can the the word "embedded" be added, and is this still possible? What does this mean, "... but for we other is the guarantee of updates until at least October 2024"? Thanks.
I moved to Windows 11 (With StartAllBack) last year. Thanks for this project. It was very nice to be user of it.
I was just wondering if their is an intention to pursue those updates for continuing purposes, that's all.
Many people said the same thing on January 14, 2020. They were wrong. Many people cried their eyes out over nothing on January 14, 2020. They were foolish. A wise man once said those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. This guy gets it. This thread could stand for less emotional harbinger of doom attitudes and more problem solving. Azure gets Year 4 of ESU. Embedded gets most of it. And POS gets all of that plus some Year 5. There will be research into acquiring these updates and most probably solutions. Sometimes I wonder if the people who go on and on about the "death" of a beloved thing actually want to see it die... They sure act like it.
For Windows Vista, there's a patch for Windows Update that enables you to get both Vista and Server 2008 ESU updates at once. I think it's just a matter of patching Windows Update into thinking it's running on POSReady. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/restore-windows-update-for-vista.82336/
Thanks again for your work and help with this over the last couple of years, it's been very helpful to myself and many others I'm sure. I suspect the guys behind this probably won't accept a direct donation but is there maybe a general or specific charity you'd like to see getting a donation instead?
I have got the 2023-01 monthly ESU update for „Windows 7“, but with the ESU for „Windows 7“ standard versions ending, comes the question, I know you can install „Windows Embedded POSReady 7“ on standard versions of „Windows 7“ and it has ESU support until 2024-10-08 so, a new revamped ESU patch to get these updates using WUS possible?
I think that the differences are on the registry and maybe on "mum" files... Only time will tell. @abbodi1406 can maybe investigate it till February, when the next update will come from MS.
