abbodi1406 Gentlemen, I've forgotten a bit the principle of updating the Windows update system. So, remind me, do I have to install WU_ESU_Patcher if I update my computer via a package from simplix?
Did you answer me? Dude, no offense, but if you're writing to someone, put the nickname out. Clarifying question: If I don't have to install the Patcher, which has a choice of Windows 7 Embedded and Win7 Server, how will the simplex package determine which updates I need. As far as I remember, the only way to keep getting updates is to patch the system in Win7 Embedded. Or did I misunderstand the schema for getting updates?
If there's no name, it always will refer to the post directly before it. Always been that way. And no, SiMPLiX does not need any patcher.
Then I don't understand the very essence of this patcher WU_ESU_Patcher, in which you can choose win7 embedded or server or both. What is it for, if simplex's updatepacks do without it? FroggieTheGremlin And here I remembered, the Network Framework is not updated via simplix. Trying to download NET updates I get this error error 8DDDD0020 from Windows update Catalog. How to download NET update?
The patcher is for updating outside of SiMPLiX, e. g. by catalog-downloaded updates or directly via WU.
Carlos Detweiller It's strange that simplix doesn't implement Net in their distributions. Well, come on, then he can't.
.NET is an addon, as well as VC++ and DirectX. Addons are here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-install-wim-esd-creation.79421/#post-1516362
Carlos Detweiller I have installed and updated all Net versions from 3.5 - 4.8 from 2022/12 as well as VC++ with one service pack until 2022. I'm writing that I don't understand why simplix doesn't package the updated Net versions in its update packs. Since I cannot download them separately without installing ESU Patcher, which breaks the system a bit. Btw, the Net 4.8.1 version is not installed and gives an error about system incompatibility.
.NET does not directly belong to Windows. Not everyone has it installed or needs it. Plus, it would bloat the pack size a lot. Keep the downloaded addon WAs next to the pack and they will automatically be installed. Tbh, no idea if the WAs need the patcher installed.
Well, smart guys and know-it-alls, will someone give me an answer to the question: is it necessary to put Suppressor or can I do without it? And yes, the instructions read, in which the patch developer himself writes: that "You get option [1] only if both WU ESU Patcher/.NET 4 ESU Bypass and/or Suppressor are not installed" additionally patched from the second screenshot.
No currently, BypassESU-v12_u only allow to install ESU updates to receive updates via Windows Update, use "WU ESU Patcher - Standalone"
Is there a way to create an iso with integrated esu updates up to the current or previous month? I've seen that people on the d3skmodd3r site did it, using abbodi's scripts (probably). Unfortunately, they only update the 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and they are also in German (not even English). I would need an ISO that is as updated as possible for this year, of Windows 7 Starter 32 bits in Spanish (Native). I would appreciate it if there is a post with instructions for integrating the updates or if someone can create the ISO, you could provide me with the link(s). I admire all the effort they make to continue keeping this system alive. Thank you
