You did something I agree with you there. You don't need a key, you never needed one. You still don't. Activate whatever Windows 10 you currently have and be done. Either that or do what I wrote and have a permanently activated Windows 10 install that you can then clean install time and time again.
I had the same problem couldn't activate and the reason was simple I disabled some services and removed Microsofts junkware and Windows couldn't activate. After fresh install you have to activate before any customisation that worked for me
stop using the tool from microsoft to create the disc download the MSDN ISOs linked from this forum... much more reliable
Maybe a Clown wording???!! I simply have the feeling that someone is trolling here (again). From my point of view, it's simply impossible that for one single person everything goes wrong what for any other users still works (near) perfectly! Reading all those threads of that member, looks like an very red line pointing to ...............?!
Now the computer wont boot to any pen drive or DVD. Shows something went wrong and then starts to windows 10 home. I need to install Windows 8 now, as I found I had a licensed bought for Windows 8 Pro. So,I can simply install windows 8.1 and then upgrade to 10. But the boot isn't happening.
@OP: Can't you simply follow one upgrade path properly until you succeed? I have the impression this thread will never end, because you are unable to follow simple instructions...it seems you are abusing other's patience... I'll close soon here...
Yes, final step is clean install windows 8 Pro and activate it and then upgrade to windows 10 from there.
Yes! Now, the keys are with me. The only issue remains now is boot not happening. Once this solved, I think job done!
Maybe you could ask your son or doughter to help you or anyone else in the neighbour If you have Another hdd change to that and start all over. Did you change anything in BIOS?
