Please do not use 1.19, it's beta bios with bugs (unstability problems on resume on xp system, VT working very slow).

Keep in mind that the Compal firmware require a specific way of flashing. With so many posted instructions on how to do it, it's easy to forget which one is the one that worked.

Heck, even I forgot! Currently running the latest (1.18) with SLIC 2.0.

So I guess what I'm saying is, it may not be a non-working modded BIOS. It could just be the flashing method.

Between Lordviking and Yen, I'm thankful that there's still activity with the Compal IFL90 firmware. :) I know it isn't a real popular laptop!

    Thanks, you two!

PS: My Compal is at home, so I'll have to wait until I get back to try.

Direct Recovery method didn't work from jfl92118f Yen's latest 2.0 MOD so I will try others mothods of flash... I will post result's.

    Thx

1st Result - recovery method fn+b black screen, I was able to recover to jfl92118F slic 2.0
2nd Result - Flash from usb flash ph161700 bios.wph /x /mode=3 result on black screen, I was able to recover again to slic2.0

Yen, did you try to make this mod using your working F mod bios... or you are making this from scratch???, mybe if you try to change the slic on your F mod 2.0, mybe you can make it works... can you give a try?

still trying.... until motherboard dead... over and out
